Guest d80jcrant
The wife was at "The Womans Show" here in Ottawa this morning. There was a Rodgers booth set up there and she asked him if Rogers were going to carrry RDS in HD. He said Rodgers will have RDS in HD in four days. The guys name is R. Newton Jean-George and he is a Solutions Specialist with Rodgers cable.
Guest Griffin3
I was wondering if the NHL Centre Ice package show all of the Montreal Canadiens games? If not, how many games will most likely be shown? I was thinking the Centre Ice Package would just show all of the Canadiens game through the RDS channel. I am not buying the Centre Ice package just for the Canadiens but I want to see them the most. Thanks.
Guest overlords
I don't get the difference between rds HD and regular rds. If you have a regular television won't the HD RDs just appear like a normal channel? What's the point of having 2 different ones besides being money grubbing yashins
Guest chromedome
"... aimerions souhaiter un bon anniversaire au neveu du gendre de la fille de Messieur---ET LE BUUUT!!!!!" Pierre and Yvon at RDS would be excellent at their job if they didnt have that tendency to ramble about things we dont care about. "Hey look, it's Zeezee-Top's lead singer! LOL!" At least it isn't such a completely stupid comment as you'll hear from that hairy neal guy on makem laffs /CBC....I remember one of his bright observations years ago that I almost choked on when I heard him.............."the only reason the Leafs lost tonight is because the Rangers put more pucks in the leaf's net than the Leafs put behind the Ranger's Goaltender"".!!!!! well duh???????? how could that ever be????? gracie12
OK, a question for any one in Calgary with RDS. Can I come over tomorrow? Really, just wondering. How much? Do you need the digital box or satellite? Im no longer in calgary, but did have RDS there for 2 years. You need the digital box ($199 new - they often offer $100 in credits back when you rent movies etc). then you need to pay for the digital package - i think its only about $7-8 more a month than the standard full tier cable. RDS is then $2.49 (or was, at least) per month. So basically (providing you're already spending like $40 a month on cable): $200 up front $10-12/month more (plus you get 4 movie channels & some other cool stuff). Guest 24habsRule
I'm a rogers customer in NB in the same boat. Just called Rogers and CSR didn't sound like she knew anything about it and that she couldn't see an plans to add it. I told her that I will be buying a HDTV soon and will switch to bell/starchoice if RDS HD isn't added. Hopefully, they'll get the point with everyone here contacting them. Guest Varrus
Woodie: Channel 673 is RDS in standard definition. It's the same as Channel 41. It's not the high-definition version of the channel.
