Guest Greek Hab
Yeah it's pathetic.Toskela won't save them,he may even be worse then Raycroft. Don't get too aggressive...did you actually look who the leafs had in their lineup? Pretty much it was an ALL Marlie defence, with no Sundin, Tucker, Blake vs. Almost all Detroit regulars except Zetterberg, who would have owned the leafs even more. If you're going to blame anyone, blame the leafs' defence.

Guest Cenner Hice
The NHL Regular Season has officially started! The Los Angeles Kings have just defeated the Anaheim Ducks 4-1 in the first of a two-game NHL Premiere Series in London, England. I guess this doesn't affect the MN Countdown at all though since they're both Western Conference teams, right? I recorded it and haven't yet watched the recording. Doh!! Oh... hang on... I was there, so I don't need to watch the recording. But here is one of my photos from the game: Season game 1 ...and on the tube(underground) away from the arena, I was sitting with a friend who was sitting next to (and chatting with) Pierre Champoux. Mick McGeough was diagonally opposite and the other two were further down the carriage. Bizzarre, eh? So come on everbody. I'm ready for your first predictions of the season whenever you are... Nice...way to make most of your opportunity! On that note Mr. Predictions Manager, allow me to jump the gun and be the first to post predictions this year: Canadiens vs. Hurricanes ---- Habs win Senators vs. Maple Leafs ---- Sens win Here we go again! On that note Mr. Predictions Manager, allow me to jump the gun and be the first to post predictions this year: Canadiens vs. Hurricanes ---- Habs win Senators vs. Maple Leafs ---- Sens win Here we go again! Number 1 makes it at #1 on the predictions board. Will this last? I have logged on as I've got an itchy prediction-trigger-finger. Need to start firing them off. I defy anyone to predict anything other than HLD's offerings above. I concur: Mon v Car - Habs Sens v Laffs - Sens.
Guest Cenner Hice
Already I can tell it's going to be harder for me this year... No team logos. Can I also set down the following points and ask a few favours to make my life a little easier? Call them PREDICTIONS RULES if you want to. 1: Please be clear about your predictions (cryptic clues don't help as I might not understand them); 2: Post predictions in the order the games appear on nhl.com's schedule; 3: Only make predictions for games in which Eastern teams are playing; 4: Have fun; 5: Predictions are for the result in regulation (i.e. win for either team or a tie); 6: Predictions must be made before the puck drops (I do check game stats for exact times if there's doubt); 7: Have fun; 8: Please don't predict games too many days in advance as I'm likely to miss your post; 9: Have fun; 10: Eerm... That's it. Oh... and if there's any doubt, my decisions are final... (ish)... (within reason)... (bribes are accepted)... (but not acted upon - I just like the idea of bribes) By the way, if I haven't said it already, have fun.

Guest CristoWallHuet39
I don't know if I have time this year to be an MN Scout. If there is still an opening later on and I have free time then I'll want to be a sophomore scout.
