Guest vegasrick
They say that in the playoffs, it's all about goaltending. I hope so. Just get us to the playoffs (which I'm very confident we will), and we just happen to have the league's #1 in net. Quite fitting for the Canadiens. He has incredible numbers right now, so they may drop a bit after a few tough games, but last year he had seven shutouts in like 34 games toward the end of the season, so maybe Huet is just warming up! Either way, seeing what he's done so far, and how he's doing it, I'd say he's the real deal and will be just fine in our Stanley Cup run. Now if only we could put more pucks in the other net. Guest js2
Heres a new TSN article on Huet and a bit about the team. http://tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=186408&hubname=nhl

Guest MTLenForce
Good article. Nice to read that there seems to be a team chemistry. As for Huet, he's not a 1 year phenomenon. I'm sure he'll last and be good the whole year. He was maybe an unknown last year, but he had already drew attention to him : http://www.cristobalhuet.com/articles/dizz...ing_journey.htm "He's got an unbelievable butterfly, with great flexibility in his legs. We've worked hard on reading the attack and determining the depth and how aggressive he can be in different situations. His positional play is really good. It all comes from reading the rush. "It's not just how good he is, it's how good he's getting. His progression is amazing, when you think just four years ago he was in what almost was a pickup league in France. With time and experience, I think he can be one of the better goalies in the NHL." "I wanted to see him under the conditions -- to see his mental toughness. He was scored on the first 30 seconds and we ended up winning 4-1 and he was first star."
Guest habs_fan1160
I was just watching TSN (of all channels) and they were talking about the reasons Huet wasn't put on the ballot for the East and they were saying it was because he's french - simple as that. And the people on TSN basically admitted that he is more tallented and a stronger goaltender than Raycroft. If the reason he wasn't put on the ballot was because he is French that's dispicable. It's not the 1950's anymore.
Guest HabSteve
looks like huet gave the team a good scare this morning when he looked hurt after taking a shot at his arm or his hand. every players stopped skating when they saw him on his knee in front of the net. carbo said he would still be in net against carolina. http://www.rds.ca/canadien/chroniques/218268.html

Aebi is a good goalie too but he's been very inconsistant so far this year.

Guest habs_fan1160
oh wow what a compliment a better goalie then raycroft  wow! thats what first in GAA and save % gets you I know, but I was surprised they admited that on TSN. I was kind of taken back about the French issue though. That shouldn't be a reason to exclude someone from a ballot. Emery is black, what's the difference? Doesn't matter their skin colour or demographics as long as they play a good game.
Guest NothingGreater
people still do not know how much racism runs in america, ecsecially towards the french. I am not too suprised on why he was not admitted in, but if TSN said it... Well, I don't think I need to explain.

I'd hesitate to believe it too...maybe because I don't want to believe it...but it seems odd that TSN would make a huge claim like that without any meat to it. Then again, I doubt anyone will ever admit that's the reason even if it is.

It was the View for men on TSN (I don't know what it's called) lol, it was just a suggestion though (apparently).

Ah, I see. Whatever the case, if he continues to play he's done all month I really don't care what kind of recognition he gets. Sure he deserves it, but somehow I don't think he'll complain about it. If anything, it'll make him want to excell even more.

GIJAYNE
There was a scary moment yesterday when Huet suffered a minor injury during practice! Apparently when Huet dropped to his knees in pain, the whole team stopped dead in their drills in fear (this is a good sign that the team appreciates Huet and understands his true value on the team). Here is the article: http://www.rds.ca/canadien/chroniques/218268.html
