The habs will hit the ice tonight for the fifth time in six days as they take on the sens in what should be a very good game. Hopefully Coach Carbonneau will play more regulars tonight, to try and get the right line combos going for the start of the regular season on October 3rd vs. the Hurricanes.

TONIGHTS GAME:

Starting Goalie:

Cristobal Huet

Projected Lines:

A.Kostitsyn - M.Grabovski - A.Kovalev

C.Higgins - B.Smolinski - M.D'Agostini

J.Lahti - K.Chiphura - T.Beauregard

E. Manlow - C. Locke - J.Ferland

A. Markov - M. Komisarek

P. Valentenko - M. Streit

J. Gorges - M. Degon

These lines have not been confirmed and will most likely change over the course of the day as Carbonneau finalizes the starting squad for tonight. The only 100% confirmation is that Huet will be playing the full 60 minutes and that Higgins will play his first game of the preseason tonight.

PREDICTION: 3-1 HABS (Grabovski (2), Beauregard)

GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Latest on the Senators as per TSN: http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/feature/?fid=10460&hubname=

The following players were not on the ice during Friday's practice: Mike Fisher - groin, Ray Emery - wrist, Niko Dimitrakos - hip, Matt Carkner - broken hand, Jason Spezza - ankle and Josh Hennessey - shoulder.

The Sens are very high on their two Russian prospects Alexander Nikulin and Ilja Zubov. Head coach John Paddock says he is excited at the potential of those two. With limited roster spots, it is expected the pair will start with the Sens' American League affiliate in Binghamton.

Spezza took a shot in the ankle a few days ago and said it was bothering him a little so he decided not to skate today. He will be fine to play Saturday. Hennessey is likely out a week with a possible separted shoulder. Martin Gerber will play two periods on Saturday and Jeff Glass will play the third.

Forwards

Foligno - Zubov - Heatley

Donovan - Spezza - Eaves

Vermette - Hamel - Neil

Schubert - Bass - McGrattan

Defence

Redden - Meszaros

Volchenkov - Lee

Kinch - Corvo

Goaltender

Gerber - 2 periods

Glass - 1 period

Is RDS showing this one?

Nope. But Higgins got the green light from the doctors to play tonight!

Oh, and according to RDS.ca, we're going to see the top two lines as:

Higgins-Koivu-Kovalev

Kostitsyn-Grabovski-Kostitsyn

Wow, those are interesting lines!

I think EVERYONE wants to see Kostitsyn - Grabovsky - Kostitsyn on a line together. The offensive potential is pretty good. And like JL said, Ottawa's icing a very respectable team. I hope we don't get out played and out scored. We're needing a good game from Koivu. He's yet to show much this camp. Does anyone know if D'Agostini is playing again tonight?

Also, did O'Byrne have a fight last night?

No he didn't (that I know off). Gordie Dwyer tried to lure him into a fight after Dwyer was called for a penalty but O'Byrne kept his cool and the Habs' got the PP.

You along with everyone else got their wish, I bet we will be in for a treat for that line
