Guest habs_fan1160
good point. I know i'll be screaming at my tv and i live close to the bell center. Maybe they will hear me Lol, yeah, Habs games usually leave you with a bleeding throat when they're over. Just hope Koivu gets some love from the crowd out there tonight. Also, I hope he can make himself appear on the scoreboard tonight.
Guest ribz&ryder_connexion
I can't even begin to express my thoughts on this whole fiasco and stay rational at the same time, therefore I won't say anything at all. As for the ovation idea tonight, I'm 100% down with that.

Guest RadioGaGa
TSN was saying that there was a video before the game introducing the players...and Koivu spoke French. I wonder if the team asked him to do that, or if it was his idea?

fourtrax
Ah, how sweet it is to see our man Saku make the language police look like the reactionaries they are with a pre-taped interview in French AND a monster game.

Guest silversnake
just a WOW game by the Captain once again. He did an amazing pass between the skates to Ryder which let to a good save by biron , did that amazing pass to higgins from behind the net which led to another great save by biron. His goal was awesome , you could tell he was going to score before even leaving the bench, it's like he put on the rockets to get into the zone and just an amazing pass to latendresse. Great game , great guy, just glad he played so well

Guest SuomiPerkele
I had to register to make a few comments about this language thing. I'm from Finnland, hope you understand my english. Habs captain is a very puplic figure, ok. But Saku's mainjob is still to play hockey and when you see him on the ice, you see that he is doing his job guite well. And when you really think about it, what you say do not matter, what you do does. He has given us fans many great moments and his foundation is beyond mentioning. People talk a lot about his injuries and cancer. I've been following his career since he was 16 and all I can say is: If there ever happens to be a nuclear war, Saku Koivu would be the last man standing. (probably wearing finnish national team jersey and wawing habs flag)
ColRouleBleu
koivu said on tsn that they had actually done it 10 days ago even before this whole fiasco happened yes I read that, i guess they received complaints about it, in a more private manner, before it all explded in the press ... good job of koivu for not letting on on anything while being bombarded wednesday

Guest rosalie52
If this c..p continues, I'm afraid he will ask for a trade. We don't want this to happen.
Guest MTL_HABS_24
CAPTAIN, MY CAPTAIN! Ever since Saku stepped on the ice for his first game in a Habs uniform, his detractors have criticized him for everything from his size, to his fragility, to his inability to make those around him better players and just the other day, simply because he hadn't introduced his teammates in French by some nationalist/federalist/nationalist SLEAZE BAG. Through it all - his fight with cancer, his career-threatening eye injury, his leg injuries - Saku conducted himself with the dignity, class and leadership Guy Bertrand could only dream about. He could have packed it in and demanded a trade in a city where his skills could be appreciated and where language wouldn't be an issue, but that's not how our little Finn is built. He oozes character and values this team has been in dire need of since after our last Cup win. I think I speak for every Habs fan who hopes that #25 arrives before our Captain skates into the sunset. Guest P.Royfan
I'd like to congratulate Captain K on his 548th career point when he scored on Marty Biron he passed Guy Carbonneau on the all time points list 17th all time! With the assist last night he is now just 10 pts shy of tying Peter Mahovlich for 16th all time! Way to go Saku! EDIT That is the Canadiens all time list.
