I think Pleks has been on the so called third line because they were trying to give Grabs every chance to succeed in a spot they thought he could excell (with Kovy). We have seen that change in the middle of games lately so maybe the experiment is over and Pleks will return to his prior duties on a more regular basis now. I never considered it a demotion, as some did, but rather helping out an organizational need.

I want to see his move, Where he comes in with plenty of time, nice and slow, dekes he goalie out and passes the puck off to the right to the open man, with the wide open net,

I think he did that 4-5 times last yr was great

That and his penalty shot move, Kinda got old near the end, but when it was working it was nice to watch

this thread should have been flooded with the game Plek had tonight and also with how he started the season. Just amazing tonight and felt like he was doing everything and fixing his teammates mistakes. Was very underrated last year and i think still underrated this year but man, he's proving everyone wrong. I hope he can keep this up. I love kovy/plek together

this thread is the image of its topic: quiet and positive

when interviewed after the game and asked to comment on his performance, he says that it doesn't matters who scores; that he got lucky; that yeah he plays well but wants to do better to help the team; that yeah he had a great game but lets forget about it and concentrate on the next game...

that guy is a gem!

Very good game for Pleks.

I was surprised that late in the game that Pleks was not on the ice to try to get hat trick on the empty net. Afterall, he is good defensively so it not like MTL would have been hurt significantly defensively. Otherwise it was a very good game.

I can't say enough about this guy, not just his increasingly impressive ability, speed, vision, and hands, but his low-key, blue-collar demeanour off the ice. There's no ego, no attitude, he just works his tail off and credits the team when things go well. I must admit that I had no idea Plekanec had this kind of potential when he broke into the league. I saw him as a career third-line checker with a bit of two-way scoring potential, i.e. a younger, smaller, but faster Bonk. But I couldn't be more happy to be wrong! :)

very nice game for tomas..even aside from the fact he had 4 pts, he looks very comfortable playing with kovalev this year..imo the only thing missing on that line is #46

Pretty quiet game last night from Plekanec. I guess his entire line was a tad quiet, too. Hopefully he comes back with a great game on Tuesday against Atlanta! Go Pleks!

He has got to stop that ridiculous trip through the right faceoff circle on his way to the net. Everyone and his brother has figured out that move. Even Maguire commented that you cut off half your shooting lanes by coming in at such an angle.

lol. I hate that move too... he cuts off half his lanes and he gives the goalie about half an hour to wait him out...
