Nah after he fought Latts he was thrown out of the match but Begin was agitating him and pushing his buttons all night. I think it was a huge reason why Charra got so frustrated in the 3rd. He really got in his face and they were pushing and shoving multiple times. Begin played his role really well tonight ;)

He most certainly did and that's why he is still a valuable asset!

this is why a player like Begin holds an immense value to any team, people like to run these guys in the mud for their lack of talent with the puck, but i'm telling you that these kinds of players are an integral part of a complete team from top to bottom, you need a guy who can literally crawl up the oppositions skin and cause havoc with there emotions.

Bang Bang Begin does a Bang up job !!!

We begin to appreciate,

how this player cleans his plate;

and when he turns to just desserts,

the pain inflicted sure just hurts!

Wow, the return of Bang Bang Begin! Nice work, Steve. :)

In an interview on RDS, they asked him about losing the puck before his second goal, Begin replied with a smirk on his face that it was a deke and it worked! :lol: I love that guy.

With the goals he scored last night (both on bullet shots), I couldn't help but think of Darren McCarty.

Begin, like McCarty, has decent hands and a surprisingly good scoring touch when they aren't fists.

With the exception that McCarty is a fighter and Begin is not.

True, but both are physical lower line guys who wear their heart on their sleeve and their emotions on the outside.

You're right, Begin isn't a fighter, but my point was that it's always surprising to find that guys who play that particular style have solid offensive skill sets.

Did anyone watch the game on TSN vs. the Leafs? When they were showing Begin's skates and how he has that extra layer of plastic up there because he goes down to block shots?

The idea is, if he gets hit in the foot, it won't break any bones in there. Hopefully this will help him stay healthy this season. He's valuable on the PK.

Has anyone seen this picture of Steve yet? Scary as hell!

That's an unusually full set of teeth for a player of Begin's style. If they are dentures, then I must give props to the orthodontist who performed the surgery. They are pearly white, full and menacing! It's a good thing he's not as fast as Grabovski, otherwise the teeth might come loose and litter the ice like chicklets.

Slow down steve, for the love of god!!
