Guest 1970 Habs
Back in the big show. I love his energy, drive and determination. However it makes me wonder if maybe the team is showcasing him for a trade.
Guest Oatmeal777
I love this move because even when Lapierre makes bad moves he makes the game a little more interesting with his antics. Plus he apparently has great work ethic.

Ya maybe he'll bring some inspiration. He seems to me like the kind of guy who stays loyal to the team that drafted him and likes Montreal in any case since he's a Quebecer. Who really knows though? Guest 1970 Habs
Don't we all. I see Lapierre's potential somewhat higher than most people. I hope he eventually proves me right for whichever team he eventually plays for (as I am not so sure anymore if it will be with the Habs - though I hope so). His energy and work ethic alone are attributes any team can use as it sets an example for those who play around him.
Guest ShadeHunter
I'm glad Lapierre got called up I think he has a lot of potential. Not only that he will work hard to prove he belongs on on a NHL team so he doesn't have to return to the Bulldogs.
aegrith
Laps should be up when they get rid of either Begin or Chippy or Smolinski or Dand or Kosto... WHY do we have another defensive forward on a team that cant score goals i beyond me.

Guest RussianRifle: AK-27
They're never getting rid of Chipchura, you can count on it. No kidding! An outlandish idea! This kid gets better with every game. A high draft pick, the habs have put a lot of stock into Chipchura. If anything, we should look forward to Chipchura and Lapierre playing together in the future. You can rest assured, however, that it won't be long before he starts seeing some more offensive responsibilities as he continues to develop over the next few years. IMO he'd have seen ice time on the first line ahead of Kostopoulos/Streit/Smolinski already if he wasn't so essential to our shutdown line. Just meant that Laps should be taking one of there spots, not Grabs... Laps is a good defensive forward, but we have too many of those already. Dutch
Nice to hear he has been called up. I am sure he will try to spark the team in a way only he can do. Go Maxim!!! and make the best of this opportunity.
Guest Onzeee
So which 30 something player is not contributing on the team? I can only think of Smolinski. And yes I would prefer Lapierre over Smolinski right now.smolinski is bringing nothing to the table, he is sucking life out of us if anything........Back in the big show. I love his energy, drive and determination. However it makes me wonder if maybe the team is showcasing him for a trade. not a chance imo
Guest JL
I would have prefered Sergei Kostitsyn, but here's hoping that Lapierre takes advantage of the chance he's given... and not for 4-5 games like last year.

Guest habsrule_10
I am very excited to see Lapierre back with the Habs. He is not the solution to all of this team's shortcomings, he is a positive step in the right direction.

I don't think Kostitsyn would be more likely to create a spark than Lapierre. The team needs better shutdown players right now.

Guest habs_fan1160
I'm actually excited about tonight's game, lately the Habs have been playing 'obvious' and without fire. Lappy's good at firing things up on the ice. Hopefully he'll take full advantage of this and fight for a permanet spot on the team.
Guest Dumoulin27
Soooooo glad to have Max back with the team. No doubt about it, Laps is going to inject the team some spirit and energy tonight. Lets go boys! Time to get back on a roll!!!
