fourtrax
This is a massive blow that I don't think anyone will be able to really grasp entirely until we see how sloppy things will be on our own zone. Looks like Komi and Markov are getting close to 30 min tonight "Don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you got 'til it's gone..." I agree with you that Komi and Markov are going to have to pick up the slack, as I can't see Carbo giving all of Hamrlik's minutes to Streit or Brisebois. Gorges and Bouillon could play a minute or two more too though. Lets hope for many powerplays
Guest youppipwns
Cristobal Huet makes his 13th straight start (8-3-1 during that stretch). Roman Hamrlik got sent home and sick with the flu. He is out tonight. Carey Price returns to Montreal to backup Huet. He was 6-4 with a 2.69 GAA and .896 SVP in his Hamilton stint, but allowed one goal on 46 shots in two games last weekend. With Toronto on tap on Thursday, Guy Carbonneau says there's a possibility that Price will get the call (given his 3-0 record against the Leafs), adding they wouldn't have recalled him if he wasn't going to play. - TSNNo hamrlik tonight: Source You want to see how important Hamrlik is to Montreal this year: Watch tonight's game.were going to miss him big time

I guess there are some prospects, but they wont be playing this season. This is why I think that in the offseason, a priority should be to sign a legit top-four d-man who can anchor that second pairing in case Hamrlik gets injured. Of our existing corps, none has proven that he deserves to be there. Streit, Bouillon, Dandenault, and Gorges are all fine as third-pairing defensemen, but nothing more. Really a shame we couldn't land Danny Markov who would have been tremendous with Hamrlik.

ColRouleBleu
Carbonneau says Roman Hamrlik is not suffering from the flu. He had an allergic reaction to the meds he was taking for a virus. He hopes Hamrlik will be ready for Saturday at Ottawa. - TSN http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/feature/?fid=10460&hubname=

Guest Oatmeal777
If he's not back for the game against Ottawa Montreal has no chanc. At least two of the three Toronto goals came because the fill in defencemen couldn't do what he does.If he's not back for the game against Ottawa Montreal has no chanc. Guest jennifer_rocket
Get well soon, Mr. Hamrlik! Toronto had pressure on our D all night long, and without Hamrlik there we were lacking some major size on the backend. Hopefully he returns Saturday for the ever-so important tilt with Ottawa!
