Guest fansince1975
Another solid game. Most importantly he played therefore the injury must have been minor. Hopefully the minor injuries get some time to heal before the first playoff game. He should be a bigger force in the playoffs when he gets to play with Streit or O'Byrne instead of Brisebois. He will be able to focus more on his responsibilities then covering for Brisebois.
Guest JL
Tonight was probably the best game I've seen Hammer play since joining our team. He was a left handed Komisarek out there with bone-crushing bodychecks, and was a wall back there. That's why I had been wanting us to go get him for a few years now. Guest Captain_K
He played like a monster tonight!! I just loved watching him out there, like he was simply amazing! I hope to see lots more of this throughout the playoffs.

That or he's a pretty good sleepwalker.
tmash
Normally he plays the type of game where he is a huge part of the team, yet never gets noticed. Tonight he made himself noticed in a very good way. Offensively, defensively, and physically he was great, probably our top dman out there tonight. Guest Innis_Mor
Agree with all the comments on his game last night -- best I've seen from him / absolute monster -- the Hammer!! -- putting licks on them Bruins!! Offensively, defensively, and physically he was great, probably our top dman out there tonight. Hhhmmmmm???! Carbo (brilliantly) at work again? Starts Hammer and Brise and they respond with their best 'AAA' games?!!
Guest jennifer_rocket
The Hammer had an awesome hit on Lucic last night. All over the highlights. GREAT GAME!
fourtrax
Monster game from the Hammer. Our best d-man on the ice apart from Markov.
Guest bigsby
outstanding in the crease, along the boards, and as an imposing physical presence. the western conference side of him came out like gang-busters last night
Guest jennifer_rocket
Of mention: I was watching the Clg/SJ game after the Montreal game, last night. I noticed how bad they were at moving the puck on the PP. I bet they really miss Hamrlik. They looked awful in their transition game. On the PP they couldn't even setup. Phaneuf is over-rated, and I had been saying well before Gainey signed Hamrlik that Hamrlik anchored that pairing. I'm very glad he's a part of our club! ColRouleBleu
poor lucic!!!! ... ... naaaah, not really half the game i was telling my daughter how great hammer was playing, that he would get a star for sure ... 'yeah yeah mom' she says, 'you must be getting old, you must have said this 100 times already'

'yeah yeah mom' she says, 'you must be getting old, you must have said this 100 times already' He is so good and steady that I forget how good he is. He goes back. Takes the puck and player out. End of the offensive threat. The only time in weeks he looked bad was on the bouncing puck that resulted in the Sturm breakaway. No harm. I actually was surprised that he got a star in the first game. But he did deserve it. The worst losing streak of 3 games was when Hammer was out with the flu. Let's hope he stays healthy. I'm very glad he's a part of our club! hammer was my off-season pipe-dream (i thought he'd be asking too much money. we paid for him, certainly, but this season has been worth every penny). how happy am i?! off topic alert: in calgary's defense...(pun intended) they played a poor game last night. i'm sure they miss hammer but their first game against the sharks was much better; i'd even go so far as to say they dominated. game three will be a better indication of who will make it out of the series (i have hope for the flames yet). Guest vegasrick
I am SO GLAD we got this guy!! He really showed his dominance last night. I now have high hopes that if we make it to the finals, we can beat any Western Conference team. What a major league hit on Lucic!
Guest JL
Monster game from the Hammer. Our best d-man on the ice apart from Markov. And let's not forget how brutal the team was earlier this season when he got hurt... Gotta love the guy. He wants to be here and he's a great performer.
