Guest JL
Along with Carey Price, Hammer has been our best player so far in the playoffs, well ahead of the others. I'm just at awe watching him hit, pass and defend. He's truly getting under the Bruins' skin for whatever reasons.

fourtrax
He's taken his game to another level in the playoffs, and it's wonderful to see, particularly because he brings that edgy, Western Conference-style nastiness to his game. His hits, by and large, aren't thunderous or spectacular, but they are surgeon-like and almost always separate the player from the puck, which he then calmly retrieves and plays out of the defensive zone. Guest Me_Habs_Fan
HAMMER has been the man the last couple games. Boston players were pushing him and yapping at him. Excellent job Hammer and Happy Birthday!

In the first two games, he has had several Komisarek-like hits though, and they were felt by the Bruins.

Agreed, that's why I said 'by and large'. Occasionally, he'll step up and absolutely level somebody, Komisarek-style, like you said. For the most part, though, his hits are more of the 'cold, calculated brutality' variety IMO.
Guest Onzeee
Roman has been a totally different player in the playoffs, what a difference from the season. his shot has become a cannon he is eating people out there and basically has turned into a transport truck
Guest bigsby
i'm in agreement with all of the above. hammer has been maybe our best player on the ice the first two games; he is playing with fire in his eyes! outstanding!

Guest fansince1975
If I had to vote for an MVP after the first two games, he'd get my vote. Either Hammer or Price IMHO have been the best most important players so far.

Guest kjdriedger
His best year in the league IMO. He's had some good ones but he should have been an all-star this year. Right now, he is the best D for the HAbs, in a group of very strong D as a unit.
Guest AlexK
Hamer saved the game tieing goal at the end of the game by blocking the shot. The defense on this team has really done a pretty good job as they are constantly getting banged, but they are returning the favor.

Guest jennifer_rocket
Love the way Roman has stepped up all aspects of his game here in the playoffs, he was destroying Nokalienen again all night lol I noticed that battle, as well. What I really want is for Hamrlik to lay out Lucic some more. Lucic took some good hits last night, but his "weeping" motion at Kovalev was uncalled for. Time to put the nail in his (and Boston's) coffin come Thursday night. I sure do hope he's on the ice for a few goals against Boston.
