Guest habinto
so far Hamrlik has been great, last night he made one great defensive play after another, it was awesome to see, really put me at ease most of the time. From what I've seen I am also very happy with his performance. As for his attitude, I think he deserves a clean slate. I will judge him for what he does in Mtl - on and off the ice. As of know I'm happy! money well spent.
Guest stevesaku
he always makes the right plays and never panics. i also saw him at the old forum the other day. he said he was there for an interview. he is a really nice guy. my friend told him he has him in his hockey pool, hammer responded by saying he hopes he wont let him down. i hope so too. Guest s.k 11
I think he will show us his offensive side as well.He had 2 or 3 good shots so far and some good passes he just needs a bit more luck and his doing exactly wat we payed him to do I say. Keep it up.
Guest Hab
One of the standout players last night. This guy is still not worth 5.5 mil(probably never will be), but he's a valuable asset to the team. I'm glad we have him locked up for 4 years
Guest smoke
lol, Guys get over the fact that were paying him X amount of $, We didnt get him to replace sourrays point production, we got him to help improve our d, and that is exactly what he has done. We didn't get him to replace Souray's point production, correct. But at $5.5 million, it is by no means an unreasonable expectation that he produce some points. I expect 35-40 points on the year for Hammer, and I don't think that's unfair.

I second that. I think he will be providing some offense down the line. The season is still early and he is getting used to playing on a new team/nnew coach/ new expectation. fourtrax
there's still 78 games left to put up those 35-40 points Absolutely. Don't get me wrong, I am not down on Hamrlik AT ALL. In fact, I've been pleasantly surprised by how rock-solid he's been in his own end of the rink. But over the course of the season, I am expecting him to put up points. Not 06-07 Souray points, but points nonetheless.

Guest scarface
fellas, fellas. give him time to adjust. he's doing his job so far when it comes to D. he's not the old HAMRLIK that we'd all like to remember, but he still contributes in his own way. Not 06-07 Souray points, but points nonetheless. He is a defensive defensman, but he has an offensive dimension to him, and it's realistic to expect some points. But I also have to give him some offensive credit: his solid defensive play has allowed Brisebois to really contribute offensively without hurting us. If we didn't have Hamrlik here and had Brisebois playing with Bouillion or something it would be an absolute disaster.

fourtrax
Any doubts about how much better we are defensively with Hamrlik? The Hamrlik-Brisebois pairing is great, it's almost a second top pairing in terms of being able to play against anybody in any situation. I feel so much more confident in our D with Hamrlik back there, he rarely gets panicked, he keeps his head and makes smart, simple, high-percentage plays to get the puck out, he doesn't take bad penalties, and he is now starting to chip in points on the power play.
