Guest habs_fan1160
I kind of feel the same way bout Bouillon as I do about Begin, Bouillon just doesn't seem to be the same player as he used to be. For what reasons, I'm not sure. But he just doesn't have as much of an impact as he used to have with the club. Frank the Tank needs to step it up and regain the truth behind that nickname. Hope he has a great season, but if not, I'm not sure he'd be worth keeping through 2008-2009.
Guest The_Hockey_Specialist
I'm a Bouillon fan, perhaps more due to Frank's heart than his actual hockey skills. Shorter than desired by most GMs he paid his dues and worked HARD to get to where he is and when he does things like in the following video, you can help but smile at how incredible this person is : PUNCH HIM ON THE NOSE! Pound for pound, Frankie's my favourite pugilist. I hope he rearranges Tucker's face again on Sat.
Guest thefooligan5
I continuously read complaints about Bouillon on this board and people mention him as either the first or second player on their list of habs that need to be traded but I cannot for the life of me understand where all this has come from. I remember the season before last tons of people seemed to love Francis but then last year everyone turned on him. I'll be one of the first to say that he did not play all that well last year but you cannot rule out the injury he had to work through during much of the first half of the season. That can have a huge effect on a person who is lucky to get a week without a game to play somewhere in North America. In the habs first game of the 2007-08 season I noticed Bouillon made some keys plays which may have prevented one or two goals. He also made some smart plays with the puck. Although he didn't throw his body around much we all know that he is more than capable of checking alongside players that are much larger than he is. So unless someone can post some concrete reasons on this board why Bouillon deserves to be traded or why he is one of the worst defensemen on the habs, I will not be convinced and he will remain one of the smarter players the habs have on their roster. Kindred
Good game by the oxo cube. Good hustle, almost had a goal in the first period. I expect to see him knock Tucker on his butt this Saturday
Guest Varrus
Francis Bouillon is my favourite current Hab. Why? Check out this clip from RDS of the Top 10 Canadiens Goals in the 2005-2006 Season. Bouillon's is #2.
Guest rob2h
I have never been a big fan of Bouillon but if the habs insist on starting him I have one message for Saturday night. If the habs have a good lead fight Tucker for no reason. fourtrax
Count me as one of those who aren't particular Bouillon fans, but the Cube played a very solid game on Wednesday night.

Same same...it was the first game in a long time where he actually looked like a "NHL" defender.

Guest thefooligan5
Same same...it was the first game in a long time where he actually looked like a "NHL" defender. What the heck? I am still stunned. Bouillon is one of our strongest D in my opinion. He makes a player's life pretty tough along the boards, his body check is low and solid which often takes people by surprise and he makes very smart plays without being a flashy player. Only 2 games into the season and I've already seen him save several goals, make some nice attempts at setting up a play in the offensive zone and i don't think he's really made any blatent errors thus far which is a lot more than can be said for a number of our other defencemen. He's smart without standing out but given the chance and all eyes are on his ability to rush with the puck or throw mean body checks. "I feel like i'm taking crazy pills!" I just don't understand why no one else can see this.

Guest jennifer_rocket
Bouillon, in my opinion, is putting together a solid start to the campaign so far. Playing with Streit, in a minimal role seems to be helping his game! Last season I seem to remember Dandenault and he having to take on more responsibility. Some of which they really couldn't handle. Carboneau has done a good job fitting his players into their roles so far this year. Go Bouillon!

I also enjoy that most, if not all, of his hits are clean. You've got to respect a player who hits, but hits apprpriately. Especially in the "new" NHL (har har). Guest thefooligan5
i thought he played well last night .. he moved up on a few plays, created some chances and was very effective along the boards in the defensive zone. i still think he is more than deserving of his position on the team. great game. Guest Renko
Bouillon in my opinion has been playing very solid hockey. I think he has surprised some people so far but I think his dismal performance last season was due to the fact he battled injury the whole time. I think he deserves some credit.
