Weep what do you think he deserves to be paid.. I think possibly 1.5 minimum...

That being said, overpaid by 350k isnt much.

Alot of players are overpaid by alot, Aka, Dandy, Ryder, Smolinski, Sourray :), had to throw him in there :)

I'd give Bouillon $1.2 million max. In any case, I love the way he is skating right now, with authority and determination. He's hitting hard like the Cube of old, but his defensive awareness is at its peak too.

Agreed. Bouillion deserves to be in this league and his play lately justifies a 4th-5th dman spot, but someone in that spot shouldn't be making as much as he is. He's played well lately and him and Gorges have certainly stepped up to make our defense more solid, although with Hamrlik out of the lineup it proved our defense is still fairly fragile.

Never mind lately. For a while there I was paying attention to too many people on here and was thinking he was expendable. He plays with tons of heart and detemination. I wish other players would play as hard as him.....

When Hamrlik was out of the line-up, everyone had a different partner for some reason. Even Markov and Komisarek weren't looking too good with new partners.

10 pages isn't enough appreciation for the man. Bouillon had an amazing weekend and i believed he played his best hockey this weekend. Was really awesome to see. Him and Gorges are really solid

prob playing like that cuz he knows he's on the line to be outa here.. 1 goal in 75 games.. true embarassment! Gorges has improved A LOT in his game. Bouillon.. had a great weekend! WOO-HOO..what about the rest of the season? need to get rid of him..even if we get a draft pick.. will be worth it instead on keeping him!

I think you might want to relax a bit. Bouillon has proven he can line up as a 5th or 6th dman on this team. His effort level in unbelievable and he is tough as nails. He plays twice his size and, in reasonable amounts of ice time, can help this team. The only issue is his salary. If he wants to stay here---and I'd be glad to have him---he will have to take a pay cut. He should be earning somehwere in the neighborhood of $1-1.2 million.

I don't know why people are hating Bouillon just because of the contract that Gainey offered him. He's a 5-6th defenceman and he's playing very well. It's not his fault that this contract was offered to him. It's definately not a reason to trade him.

With the inflation of contracts, i dont think 1.85 million is all that much. I think if he was being paid 1.5 million everyone would be happy. I think 1-1.2 million is a insult.

If the cap goes up as expected, I supposed 1.5 is reasonable for Frankie, especially with the likely salary we'll be shedding with the departures of Smolinski, Breezer and maybe Huet.

I thought that Bouillon needed to be traded to make room for younger / better D.

He has played really quite good over the past 20 games. I think it is great that the 3rd D pair is not a liability. For most NHL teams the 3rd pairing against the other team top line is almost a sure goal. However, with physical play (like 2 years ago), good D partner, and good positioning he has been a very pleasant surprise.

Certainly a part of the TEAM that helps Montreal win more games. And I think it also helps that Carbo does not have him on the point on the PP. He is a good defenceman but not at the same level as Markov, Streit, Hammer, S. Kostitsyn, and Brisebois when it comes to playing the point. However, he is quite good at PK especially if Hammer, Markov, or Komi are in the box.

Great game for Bouillion once again, they stated in the news, that He was Price's best friend last night with the 6 blocked shots.

Keep it up

He is small for a defenceman. He has to be physical or he will get handled by the bigger forwards. It is really nice that he is playing like he did two years ago.
