fourtrax
Uh, not tell a goalie that he's going to be starting his first regular-season NHL game ever against Sidney Crosby and the Penguins? No offense, but that seems like a recipe for disaster. If Price starts, he should know well ahead of time so he can prepare.

If he can handle the pressure playing against a team with that much fire power he can handle anything

Kindred
10 years from now, we might all remember tomorrow night as the start of a new era in Montreal. and if we lose we can look forward to ten long days off " I knew he would flop" from some fans true enough roy this will be one of those games we look back on in life and say "I remember that game"
fourtrax
Well, I'm hoping Price has a great game, but honestly, the only way this move makes sense is if Carbo is looking to nip the 'goalie controversy' in the bud right away. If Price plays well, he'll continue to play. If Price has a rough night, Carbo can then go back to Huet without anyone second-guessing the decision. Guest lisa_11
Personally, I would have made Huet play tomorrow night and the hope opener. I'm pretty nervous about him playing vs. the Pens actually. I hope for the best for Price, though.
Guest HabSteve
Good luck mr Price, make it the start of an era! Nice little article by Bob Mckenzie on tSN.ca : http://www.tsn.ca/tsn_talent/columnists/bo...nzie/?id=220243 I really like that sentence: "Because in years, when we look back on the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, it may well be that Price is the only prospect from that class who has even a chance to be mentioned in the same breath as Sid the Kid" I guess we're not the only ones having high hopes for Price. Guest FtonHabsFan
I hope we dont judge him too harshly if he doesn't win this. Crosby and company have shellshocked some decent goalies before. I't certainly not out of the realm of possibilities that some pretty hard to stop shots get past him. I'll be more interested to see his positioning/puck control and if he can help the D by moving the puck smoothly. Win or loose if he's good at all that he's going to get some decent amount of starts. Guest Oatmeal777
Patrick Roy saved 24 of 27 in his first game (also against the Pens), if Carey makes a similar performance, don't write it off.
Guest newton
Exactly. A solid game is what reasonable fans should be expecting. Do your job, kid!
