Guest JL
..and if Price gets a S. Does it make sense to go back to Huet? Absolutely. It would only mean that we'd see Price sooner, especially if Huet falters. Until proven otherwise, as much as I like Price, Huet is our number one goalie. amp73
Like Roy, Price gets 1st start vs. Pens TSN.ca Staff 10/10/2007 12:57:11 PM On this day 22 years ago, Patrick Roy made his first start for the Montreal Canadiens in Pittsburgh on his way to the Hall of Fame. Tonight, Carey Price hopes to start a similar journey when he makes his much-anticipated Habs debut in Pittsburgh. The last four Canadiens' rookie goalies have won their first starts (Jaroslav Halak, Yann Danis, Mathieu Garon, Jose Theodore). It's notable that Habs legend Ken Dryden also made his pro debut in Pittsburgh back in 1971. Price was Montreal's first pick in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, going fifth overall. Kyle Chipchura will also make his debut with the Canadiens tonight, playing on the fourth line with Steve Begin and Mathieu Dandenault. Montreal will have to face Sidney Crosby, who skated this morning for the first time since Saturday's game in Anaheim when he took a hard shot off the right foot. Crosby had eight points in four games against Montreal last season and has 14 points in eight career games against the Canadiens. Those are his best numbers against any non-division opponent. There was some bad blood between these two teams in the preseason. Penguins tough guy Georges Laraque skated on the fourth line today and looks like he will be in the lineup. Jarkko Ruutu will be scratched. Tonight marks the end of a season-opening three-game road trip for the Habs, who will face Carolina on Saturday in the home opener at the Bell Centre. Pittsburgh has taken five of the last eight meetings with the Canadiens. However, Montreal has been victorious in six of its last 10 trips to the Steel City. Guest RedLightRacicot
If Price get's a S tonight he will only be as good as Yann Danis, after all Danis got a S his first NHL game. Just kidding, of course!!

If we can get 9-10 years, 2 cups, 2 Conn Smythe's out of Carey, he can finish his career in Sweden for all I care.

fourtrax
Unbelievable performance for a kid making his NHL debut against the best player in the world, Sidney Crosby, and the high-octane Penguins. I love what Price brings to the table: size, technique, ability, great puck movement outside the net, and no nerves. He takes away at least three scoring chances a period just by playing the puck to an open d-man quickly, letting us get the attack started and catching the other team's forwards up ice. No knock on Huet, but Price brings a dimension to our goaltending that we haven't had since probably Jeff Hackett.

Guest smoke
Gotto admit it was a solid game, Cant blame him on either of the 2 goals, He had that one nonechalent play there, where he ended up making a miracle save by getting his butt back into the net. Other then that A+
