An Eric Cole style player would be such a great asset for our team. If only for his injuries, usually a result of hard work, Cole would be a top-tier player! We can only hope Pacioretty turns out like Cole (but healthy, of course)!
fourtrax
If Pacioretty turns out to be an Erik Cole-type player, I will take my hat off (yet again) to Trevor Timmins.
Guest SIXX
Talent Analysis He is a good power forward with an above averages skill set. He's a good skater with quick feet. He handles the puck very well, has a good shot and has a quick release. Has the size and tenacity to be a force on the ice, just needs to learn when and where to apply it with consistency. Source: http://www.hockeysfuture.com/prospects/max_pacioretty I am predicting he'll be better than Cole! Can't wait till he's in the line up...we need a FAST / TALENTED power forward! hockey_gal89
That sounds very very promising! I can't help but laugh at the person (I can't remember who but it was in either the original Max thread or the Draft day thread from this past off-season); but they tried to infer that Patches was going to be nothing more than a younger Bonk and that MTL wasted the San Jose pick. I don't believe that's the case at all. He could be the steal of the 1st round of '07.
Guest Perezhiggins
There's a nice video of him on the RDS website. He looks promising! They say he's playing on the best university team, on line 1, and the coach says he has no problem using him in any situation (5 on 5, pk, pp); all this despite being a rookie! Guest Greek Hab
Pfff...Ryder...Don't start upsetting everyone. He looks like another Ryan Smyth. Has a scoring touch and is defensively responsible.
fourtrax
He's 6'2'', 203 pounds, will fill out in the coming years, and already looks to be a more well-rounded, physical player than Ryder. My only concern is that he's a left-handed shot playing LW. I really like the Euro approach where you put a forward on his off-wing to give him more and better shooting lanes. The habs have a hab-it (see what i did there?) of changing players' positions. Center like higgins? Now you're a left wing. Right wing like Kosty? Now you're a left wing. D-man?Now you'd upfront! MMW, P.K subban could very well turn into a goalie by the time we get through with him. I think that pacioretty will end up being a huge threat to latendresse. He`s about the same size, but plays the powerforward position properly. Good luck to him.
