Pretty good 1st round in the playoffs for P.K. as he tallies 3 goals (1 was a game winning goal in OT) and 5 assists in 5 games as Belleville wins their playoff series 4-1 over Peterborough. :D

Well P.K. got a unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in the first period tonight. One of those brain cramps probably.

Strange game as Barrie scored on their first 2 shots of the second period to laed the game 2-0 after being outshot 19-9 in the 1st period. But Belleville stormed back with 2 power play goals at the end of the second period. They outshot Barrie 20-7.

Belleville started of the 3rd period on another power play and P.K. scored the go ahead goal. The period is just past the halfway point and the score is stil 3-2 for Belleville.

Belleville outshot Barrie 48-22 and now advances to the semifinals against John Tavares and the Oshawa Generals or Niagara for the Eastern Conference championship. Oshawa leads Niagara in their series 3-1.

Just got back from the game. What a shot this guy has. Does have defensive brain cramps (a bit risky when he's the last man back), but he's doing a great job offensively. Maybe he could be like a Mark Streit. At the point on the powerplay, but play 5-on-5 as a forward. Already 6 goals. Good luck in the next round Subban!

Belleville Bulls 3 Oshawa Generals 2

In Belleville, A.J. Perry scored two goals, including the game-winner on a powerplay in the second period to lift the Bulls to a 3-2 win over the Oshawa Generals in Game 1 of the Rogers Eastern Conference Championship Series. Perry opened the scoring 28 seconds into the game and Cory Tanaka added a shorthanded goal midway through the first period.

“I was getting the bounces tonight,” Perry said. “When you get the opportunity to put the puck in the net, you’ve got to capitalize on it.” Bulls’ captain Matt Beleskey had three assists and veteran Jan Mursak chipped in with a pair of assists in the win. “They are two great players and it’s really nice to play with them,” Perry said. “They both have different capabilities. It’s just good chemistry with the three of us.”

Mike Murphy made 27 saves in the win. Brett MacLean had a goal and an assist and Brent Parnham also scored for the Generals. Daryl Borden made 45 saves in the loss.

Belleville Bulls Complete Furious Comeback to Defeat Oshawa 4-3 in Game 2

"Parker Van Buskirk stopped all 28 shots he faced to help the Belleville Bulls come from behind to defeat the Oshawa Generals 4-3 Friday night in Oshawa. The Bulls fell behind three goals before the game was four minutes old but rebounded with four unanswered second period goals of their own to skate away with the victory and a 2-0 series lead."

Bellevile lost to Oshawa 2-1 in a hard fought game. Despite being held pointless again John Tavares and the Oshawa generals avoided a 4 game sweep by winning. Belleville will look to close out the series on Wednesday when they head back home to Yardmen Arena in Bellevile.

I think he will make the team out of training camp. He has a big shot and played very good this season in junior. I think he would be a very good project if Latendresse is put down to Hamilton. The project would be to play as a forward rather then a defenceman.

I think he could become a very good offensive forward. It is generally easier to make the NHL as a forward at 19/20 year of age. Plus I think his speed and shotting would make him a better forward.

he's too young to make the team. Weber would get the spot before him. He has great speed but he definitely needs to build up that frame of his before he makes the bigs.

i thought fansince1975 meant our NHL team, i'm confused. I definately think he's ready for hamilton, but is he old enough? isn't 19 the age requirement?

I do not think you are not confused overlords.

Being ready for Hamilton and getting there next season is another matter. I think another year in juniors is what PK needs, though I too have thought about converting him to a forward. I doubt that P.K. could successfully make that transition at the NHL level without first playing a few years as a forward in Hamilton. Though it is an intriguing thought converting him to forward (given the limited number of forward prospects in the system) I think it is unlikely to happen in any case.
