roy_133
I see Rivet has 5 points in 6 games, good for him!
franck5890
Definitely. I watch as much of the Sharks as I can (they're second only to the Habs in my books!), and Rivet's game has actually improved. While he still isn't tremendous in his own end, his puck-handling skills have really come into their own, and he's become pretty adept at jumping in and joining the rush. I'm very surprised at the minutes he's logging there too; he's second on the team in ice-time! http://www.nhl.com/nhlstats/app?fetchKey=2...iewName=summary And he's still not afraid to drop the gloves. Don't get me wrong; I still think his time was up with Montreal (no longer seemed to fit well with our systems), but he does fit in with the Sharks, so congratulations are definitely in order. Guest TheSalamizer
So, Setoguchi was just called up. The kid is about 4 years younger than me, but went to the same school in Taber Alberta. It's wierd to see a face from my home town rink in the NHL! Guest TheSalamizer
Just one of those kids that everyone knew was going to go somewhere with hockey, even in Novice! I remember watching my brothers games and there was this little japanese boy that played like he was 4 years older than everyone else.
Guest TheSalamizer
2 goals for Devins first Nhl regular season game, and NHL.com's first star of the night!
Guest .scott.
Is it just me, or did Joe Thorton change his name to Thornton. I honestly never remember that extra n.
Guest 1970 Habs
Being born and raised in St. Thomas Ontario with most of my relatives still living there I can assure you it has always been Thornton.
Guest dt9999
Good article on Yahoo! about Milan Michalek. How nice would it be to have a player like that with the Habs? http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/news;_ylt=Apt9...o&type=lgns
roy_133
JR got his 500th, also I saw Ozolinsh got a goal and played 21 minutes tonight, good for him, nice to see him back.
Guest 1970 Habs
Thornton and Roenick are carrying the team on their shoulders so far this year. They have scored 40% of the Team's goals (23 of 57) and have them at 6-2-2 in their last ten games.

I was expecting them to score goals by the bushels, it's not happening.
Guest JL
Who's that Roenick guy and didn't he consider retirement? I didn't think JR had anything left in the tank... I was wrong I guess.

Guest 1970 Habs
Samsonov? Not the same. No one predicted Chicago would be this good. It will be interesting to see if they can keep it up. San Jose on the other hand has the skilled players; though I am not sure about the goalie. Guest 1970 Habs
Nice article on Joe Thornton; a Canadian Hockey Player. "The secret's out ... San Jose's Thornton among the best" http://www.nhl.com/nhl/app/?service=page&a...rticleid=346362 Leading the team in more ways than one.
Guest Eye_Heart_Gorges26
as much as i can say that i'm not a huge fan of big joe's, he is probably the best player on our team. and with cheechoo being on the IR, it doesn't help our chances of winning. okay, it may since he hasn't really done much lately. but neither has joe. our 3rd and 4th lines are really picking it up and scoring the goals. really shows us and the team that they can do it just as well as the top two lines. not every game has to be thornton, marleau and cheechoo scoring the goals. Guest dt9999
This is hands down the most perplexing team in the league... How they're unable to generate any offense at all is beyond me...
Guest habs_fan1160
We have a job shadow student at work right now, who is Aboriginal and he's a cousin to Cheechoo. Apparently he gets free tickets to the games in Calgary/Edmonton when the Sharks come to play. Small world.
Guest 1970 Habs
This is hands down the most perplexing team in the league... How they're unable to generate any offense at all is beyond me... Well Joe is carried this team the first 20+ games in that department. Their 41 pts right now would put them in 2nd place in the Eastern Conference.
