Guest Miltie01
Didn't know this but just heard Chris Ckarke won't play tonight against the Leafs. Apparently he took an Ovechkin shot in the head !!! They had to reattatch part of his ear and needed 60 stitches...OUCH !!!

Guest Keith
So, Glen Hanlon fired, thoughts? I like it, he always went about making Ovechkin a complete player, and his plus/minus went down dramatically and same for his point production. Guest 1970 Habs
So, Glen Hanlon fired, thoughts? I like it, he always went about making Ovechkin a complete player, and his plus/minus went down dramatically and same for his point production. Here is the link to the story http://capitals.nhl.com/team/app/?service=...rticleid=344173 My thoughts are that Ovechkin needs to become a better all round player. It has not really hurt him as he is still getting more than a point a game. Look at Nash in Columbus and what he is becoming since working on being a better all round player. In the long run it will pay off for the team. As for the coaching change I am not sure if it will make that much of a difference. They may play better over the next 5-10 games. In truth the team has missed Semin most of the season and has a terrible defence so I do not see them climbing out of the cellar anytime soon especially when Ovechkin is scoring most of the goals (14 of 47). Guest Keith
Yeah, their management is pretty weak, they can't make anything outside a top 5 pick it seems, for the most part. Hanlon wasn't given much to work with, but he sure didn't help. With Ovechkin though, Hanlon seems to have limited his play far too much. You shouldn't hold back goal scoring talent like his, Washington was(heck, still is) a developing team, and they should have worked on helping him find his game, not altering it. Guest Miltie01
Ovechkin scored 4 goals tonight to beat Ottawa 8-6 !!!
Guest 1970 Habs
Yep it was a good old shootout tonight with Ovechkin getting 5 pts and Nylander 2 goals. Semin and Backstrom added 3 assists each. Gerber was in net for all but the last goal (empty netter). The goalie situation (distraction) is even more interesting with Emery looking in from the outside after some of the recent comments from his team mates and coach). Not a good situation for the Ottawa team.
ColRouleBleu
Ovechkin scored 4 goals tonight to beat Ottawa 8-6 !!! I'm happy for Sacha. It was funny to see him throw his glove in the air after his 3rd goal.
Guest shamrun
Not too sure about on how reliable BRUCE GARRIOCH is. But one can dream..... source In recap: the article states that AO is not happy (to say insulted) by the offer the caps GM gave him. His needs are -Max money per year for a plalyer (10 million per year) -A team that is striving to become better All im saying, im sure gainey can find it in his heart to offer AO 10 mill/per year. And id do my part by buying your jersey if you'd play for the habs lol
