Guest CanadianMike
I really like this new feature here with all the team topics. If Habs can't bring Stanley back to Canada..I hope the Sens can (so close last season). They will have anoher great season. Spezza will lead the way! Guest JL
Will they be able to retain both Spezza and Heatley, that is the question!
Guest lisa_11
I have to admit that I have a little soft spot for the Sens after cheering for them during the playoffs. They're an exciting team. + Spezza rocks Enjoy watching Spezza own the Leafs
Guest habs_fan1160
Not a Sens fan at all, I may stand all alone on this one, but I don't think they're going to have a successful season like last year.

I know you don't like the Sens, but you have to admit they are AMAZING! (fun to watch!)

Lol, I don't think and I hope not either. Look at other teams who have come out of the dirt to make the Stanley Cup finals, Calgary, Edmonton etc. Their following season were definately weak. The only difference is Ottawa has a far better stacked team than either of them did, who knows maybe they will continue their success this season, but I just can't see it being any better for the Sens then it was last year. Ha, ha, when I left to walk my dog it was 3-2 for the Leafs with 14 mins left I believe. I missed the end but thought the Leafs would take this one. Glad to come home and see they beat the Leafs. Guest JL
Definitely the team to beat in the East... and they started Elliott tonight who was the first star of the game!
Guest Memo Gonzales
This team looks unstoppable right now. They seem to have depth in scoring, their defense is one of the best in the league, and they have two proven goalies (Gerber & Emery) and seemingly Elliott is also a good goalie. The Habs face them next week, maybe we could be the first team to take two points from Paddock's men.
Guest Greek Hab
I really don't understand this...Stanely Cup runner ups, and I'm seeing empty seats EVERYWHERE ! I know the Sens don't have the largest of fan bases, but they've won 6 straight games...is that not an incentive to go out and support your team for #7? BTW, Sens lose to Carolina 5-3 Final. 6-1-0. Guest CanadianMike
empty seats? I didn't watch the game (I was watching the Panthers one). Their fan bass is actually GREAT!! Every 2nd fan in the crowd has a Sens jersey/tshirt. It is crazy the way the support their team. Can't win them all I guess.
Guest .scott.
Jason Spezza signed a 7 year, $49 million dollar contract extension today with the Sens. OTTAWA - Jason Spezza and the Ottawa Senators have agreed on a US$49-million, seven year contract extension. The star centre is earning $5 million this season, the last on his contract. It's the second big contract handed out by the Senators in recent weeks. Winger Dany Heatley agreed to a $45-million, six-year extension on Oct. 4. Spezza has a goal and 12 assists in 10 games so far this season, helping Ottawa to a 10-1-0 start. The 24-year-old forward would have been a restricted free agent after this season. Guest habs_fan1160
They have been playing some outstanding hockey this season. Still hate them, but I'd be happy if we had a quarter of the talent that they had.
