Guest Mustangpoirier4
Are you joking? Trade Koivu and make Dumont captain? Trade Koivu??? Haha, I hope not. ya trade for Lecavalier... and Dumont captain cuz who else would you put Lecavalier? TB put Lecavalier as Captain once, didn't last too long, he was young then but and maybe he's more ready now, but who else than Dumont if Koivu is gone hypatheticly, Higgins, Markov, Kostopolos.... there is nobody else on the team with the leadership qualities like this guy Dumont is a great leader, Koivu is a good captain ok yes, but i wont get over what he said last summer thats it, and again Koivu > Lecavalier, check the stats man, I would love for him to be here. Thats just the way i feel if we don't trade for Lecavalier, do you really think he'll sign with montreal in the 09-10 season i don't think so, we need to trade this year to get him, so that next year players come, he would attract a lot of good players to come to montreal and we'd make the team arround him, and Koivu is good but i think he'd put up more points with less attention on him, and as a second line center, he's doing a good job but i think he's be less stressed, plus koivu is 32 and lecavalier is 27 we can say that lecavalier is rather a little younger, i just have to say don't be so hard on me for wanting Lecavalier, he knows what winning a stanley cup is,
Guest Mustangpoirier4
You're going to resign Streit for less money than he already makes now? well actually for more cuz on the nhlnumbers site it says he's making 0.6mil this year so 1mil is more or is my math that bad...??? and yes striet will have an awsome season and probably ask more than 1mil but he wont be asking 6mil lol max i say 1.4 depending on how much carbo uses him and how if he doesn't get injured(knock on wood) well see, if striet is making more than 1mil this year lemme know, if not then i guess i did my hwk, why don't you make a team it's fun i love thinking how we can make montreal a better team and how players might perform in a couple of years and stuff, for example Pascal Dupuis is making 0.88mil this year playing in atlanta, he's only 28 and a good third/fourth line goal scorer he got 13 goals last year and a guy who scores 13 goals on a third/fourth line is pretty good if you ask me, plus he can play defensive after playing under the coatch form minesota, but the thing is if i sign him, that takes away a chance for Latendresse to play on the third fourth line leftwing.. so i don't sign him, tisk tisk, but latendresse was a rightwing his whole junior carrer why change him into a lw now? kinda bizzare, one player i'd love to get next year is Marian Hossa, ya we tossed his brother to NY... WHY!!!!!! anyways try it out

Guest d80jcrant
OK, This is the year the Habs is suppose to win the Cup. Or at least be contenders. I still do not see Bob Gainey doing a complete over-haul. LOL. I will use BLUE for players already signed and in a Habs jersey. I will use RED for the moves I have done. Most of our kids will be ready I think and along with our Vets we should be set. NASLUND - KOIVU - KOVALEV HIGGINS - PLEKANEC - S. KOSTITSYN A KOSTITSYN - CHIPCHURA - LATENDRESSE BEGIN - LAPIERRE - KOSTOPOULOS MARKOV - KOMISAREK HAMRLIK - VALENTENKO DANDENAULT - CARLE PRICE DANIS GORGES, GRABOVSKI, D'AGOSTINI ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Center) Koivu, Saku (4.750 Mil) (Center) Plekanec, Tomas (1.600 Mil) (Center) Chipchura, Kyle (0.943) (Right Wing) Kovalev, Alexei (4.500 Mil) (Right Wing) Kostitsyn, Sergei (0.817 Mil) (Right Wing) Latendresse, Guillaume (0.850 Mil) (Right Wing) Kostopoulos, Tom (0.900 Mil) (Left Wing) Higgins, Christopher (1.700 Mil) (Left Wing) Begin, Steve (1.057 Mil) (Defence) Markov, Andrei (5.750 Mil) (Defence) Komisarek, Mike (1.700 Mil) (Defence) Hamrlik, Roman (5.500 Mil) (Defence) Valentenko, Pavel (0.850 Mil) (Defence) Dandenault, Mathieu (1.725 Mil) (Defence) Carle, Mathieu (0.850 Mil) (Scratch) D'Agostini, Matt (0.500 Mil) (Goalie) Price, Carey (2.200 Mil) -------------------------------------------------------------- (Center) Lapierre, Maxim (0.750 Mil) (Left Wing) Kostitsyn, Andrei (0.850 Mil) (Goalie) Danis, Yann (0.700 Mil) (Scratch) Gorges, Josh (0.600 Mil) (Scratch) Grabovski, Mikhail (0.900 Mil) (Left Wing) Markus Naslund (5.043 Mil) -------------------------------------------------------------- (BUY OUTS, ETC) (0.765 Mil) Players I lost or think that the Habs will lose are Ryder, Bouillon, Smolinski, Brisbois, Streit, Murray, Halak, and Huet. These players might be used to help us get Naslund now for part of this year. If not then I do not see these players getting us much in return except for draft picks and prospects....and sign Naslund in the off season as a UFA. Sign him for either 2 years or 3 years max. I think the above team would be a contender.....Lines may not be exact but those younger guys will be way more proven with more experience added with the vetrans we will have a huge winning combo. The above team has a Cap hit of 45.8 Million with 4.5 Million to spare and add more if needed during that season. But the above lineup would be a very good start.
