Guest montreal_myk
I'm just wondering if anyone from Montreal is heading to the game in Buffalo on Friday? I am, and just wondering if anyone wants to carpool. As for Habs fans already in Buffalo, where's a decent place to stay in the city close to HSBC arena and bars or clubs or whatever. i wish there was a bus already going to the game with fans so me and my friend can hop on the bus? Wonder if the habs take ap lane there? Anyways, just tryong to contact all Habs fans who will be there at the game tomorrow. I got extra tickets if anyone wants to join us. Guest clarke19
Nice, it should be a fun one. I'm flying in from Newfoundland. The game I went to see last year was against Ottawa on the 10th I think. I got tickets in the 3rd row behind the bench and got to meet Beliveau. Awesomest night ever. They did lose 5-3 but hey, Beliveau.

Guest clarke19
Hey, I am flying up to Montreal on Friday, Febuary 15th to see a Habs game against the Flyers Saturday the 16th. I went to see a game last year at around the same time also. I was just wondering what I can do during my trip up there, where some cool places are to check out hockey related or not. I know I want to go see the old forum, but I'm not sure what they've made of the palce now. I would like to know some good places to get autographs. Last year I went to the Bell Centre at around 9:30-10:30 on Saturday morning in hopes of getting some autographs outside by the garage. I got two, Carbo and Huet. Was I there at the right time? Right place? Any info you guys can give me would be awesome. I've already done the Bell Centre tour which was really cool. So if you guys know any cool Habs shops, cool restaurants or places to go after the game on Saturday night I'd love to know. Thanks in advance. Guest hatethoseleafs
Wonder if the habs take a plane there? Anyways, just tryong to contact all Habs fans who will be there at the game tomorrow. I got extra tickets if anyone wants to join us. They fly into the Buffalo airport ( pretty certain). Shame i didnt see this post earlier as i would have taken you up on that offer. Hopefully you wont get stuck at the border too long as i'm sure its gonna be packed for Turkey day in the States. Guest rosalie52
The Hawks don't suck...well at least less than past years. They improved a lot with Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews. I think they're the best thing that could've happen to this team.
j2w4habs25_mtl
Does anyone here know any good places for me to go catch the game tomorrow? I am here in Toronto, and I was thinking where to go. And I thought I would come and ask online. So does any Hab Fans know any good Hab Nation Clubs here in Toronto? Guest claudelemieux1986
Hello I will be travelling from Manitoba for 2 games in February. I've never been to the Bell Centre. I was hoping that someone could answer some questions for me: 1. What time do the doors open? 2. Can I bring in my camera and take photos? 3. Is it possible to watch the warm up from ice level/1st row seats, before moving to my cheapies? 4. What are must see items in the arean? Thank you. Hey Clarke, let me know if you ever get any response for this. I'll be at that game, as well as the NYR the following Tuesday. My 5 yr old would go crazy if we could get Saku's autograph for him. Guest swansee
Thank you. Haven't been this year (yet) so please correct me where I am wrong but based on many past visits: 1. I believe it is an hour before the game (might be earlier on Saturday) 2. I have always been able to bring it in and take photos with few hassles 3. Yes, depending on which aisle you choose and the usher there.....some have not allowed me down, but others don't care or aren't paying attention.....if you get there early enough and don't make a nuisance of yourself, 90% you'll have no trouble.....if you get stopped try a different location.........again I have always been able to be at the glass for the warm-up. Just walk down there as if it is your seat. (Note-this may have changed for the better or worse this season) 4. The hallway with the metal plaques and large pictures of the HOFers on the first level!!!! The gift store (very busy before, during and after the game) Youppi is often at the door to pose for pictures and last year he had a display area downstairs, great for little and big kids! Be sure to get one of the little hotdogs.......best anywhere.....bet you can't eat just one......if you are sitting in club seats know that all the food and drinks (except alcohol) are free!!!! You go to the cash register and the total comes up $0.00! If you haven't before, do the tour and your ticket gives you a discount at the boutique, tours are in English and French and this time of year (unfortunately) doesn't include the dressing room! Go during pregame skate......around 10-11 and you might catch a glimpse of a practice. Autographs hounds seem to congregate outside between the Radisson hotel and old windsor station......but mostly for the visiting team.....for the Habs the outside the parking garage on Ste Antoine seems to be good, its the large door right under a bridge/overpass......kind of bleak! Have a great time.....let us know anything cool you find out and GO HABS!

AK-1
The Devils & the Pens, teams who had a game in hand over us, each lost their games. So how do we stand in this? 4th in the East, 2nd in points. 1 ahead of the Devils and Pens with the same amount of games played. Good night tonight. Guest claudelemieux1986
Well the time is ticking. We will be in Mtl on Sat, for my first game at the Bell Centre. Our seats are in the 400's row DD (I believe). I'm starting to get worried about the height. How does it feel up there? How are the sight lines? No, seriously, the atmosphere up there is as good as anywhere in the arena. I had the time of my life when I got there myself. Have a great game
Guest concreteveins
And btw the atmosphere will probably make you want to become a habs fan by the end of the game. I live in toronto and went to a habs/philly game last year and a leaf/buffalo game almost two weeks after the habs game. What an unimaginable difference. I wish I could see more hab games the atmosphere is absolutley intense and sooooo fun
Guest King-Carey-31
Hoping to get tickets for next season in order to visit my brick that i dedicated to my late grandfather who passed away the night he saw his first habs game live. I am just wondering how are my chances at getting tix and can I get a rough idea on how loud it really is in there?
Guest clarke19
So, the game I was supposed to go to was switched from the 16th to the 23rd so I'll be seeing the Blue Jackets. I will be flying there Friday morning, and leaving Monday morning. I just want to know what there is to do in Montreal besides watch the game on Saturday night. I went up their last year and ended up getting bored Saturday afternoon because I bought all I could buy at the Hab's Store at the Bell Centre. I have already tried the Bell Centre tour also. So basically what I want to know is what can I do when i'm not watching the game, what are some good restaurants in the area besides the St.Hubert, also, I am interested in getting some more autographs, can someone tell me if there is a pre-game skate that morning and when players will be going there. This is really important and I thank anyone in adcance who can help me out. Jon
Guest danlesk
I live in Montreal, and the best place to eat before a Saturday habs game is Mister Steer Burger on St Catherine near mountain st. Its full of habs fans of all ages, everyones wearing jerseys (even the waitstaff) There can be a short line, but service is quick. The burgers are the tastiest I have ever had! During the day, the obvious tourist things would be shopping, biodome, checking out the view at mt royal. Good streets to walk (if its not freezing) are St Catherine, St Laurent, and St Denis. If its cold, the underground city is huge and full of stuff. If you are a partier, after the game there will be no shortage of things to do. There are tons of casual bars which will be great after a win, on crescent street. There are also fancier clubs that line Crescent, 1234 and Light Ultraclub. St. Laurent is often better, with everything from classic bars to great clubs like Buennanote, Med, B-side etc... I know the city quite well, if you have any particular questions I'd be happy to answer them.

Jon Besides the Steer Burger restaurant danlesk suggested (which i've heard good things about), you can go to Le baton rouge which is known city wide as having the best ribs ever . great service and great prices (god knows u need your money for those 9.50 beers ). I personally find the biodome and it's surroundings quite overrated (unless u have kids). The oratory gives me chills and is a good experience if you're religious. I would recommend going to la banquise, it's not near the bell center but it's known for having the best poutine in all of montreal. If you have any more questions just ask. Guest LouisianaHab
I would add that I bought tickets on eBay for a reasonable price, not too far in advance (maybe 3 weeks?). We were pretty high up, sitting even with the attack goal line. I stayed at the Delta Hotel on President Kennedy, which was a medium yet scenic walk to the Bell Centre. The hotel was nice with a view of Montreal, I got a pretty cheap rate through a travel website. I tried the poutine (yum), make sure you pick a place that looks authentic. I went to the Forum, which is now some kind of mall, but it has enough hockey history to make it worth a visit. Before the game we got some food and beer at some pub near the arena, maybe it was Peel Pub? Or something around it, I seem to remember a couple of places around there. All in all, I found Montreal to be extremely friendly and welcoming, as well as safe. A little French seemed to go a long way. The best part of all was by far the atmosphere of the Bell Centre.
