He'll probably go with Latendresse since he seems to love him so much.

Guest JL
October 15, 2007 Latendresse scratched for Tuesday game vs. Panthers Posted by Dave Stubbs @ 11:51 AM Guillaume Latendresse, struggling with just two shots on goal through four games this season, will be a healthy scratch tomorrow night vs. the Florida Panthers. Expected lines: Higgins-Koivu-Ryder Smolinski-Plekanec-Kovalev Kostitsyn-Grabovski-Kostopoulos Bégin-Chipchura-Dandenault No changes are expected on defence. http://www.habsinsideout.com/ Those would be very weird lines, the second and third lines anyway... Guest jennifer_rocket
Wow. Those lines are odd. The Grabovski-Kostitsyn combo makes sense. Maybe Kostopoulos is there on the third line in case anyone takes liberties with the two youngest offensive forwards!? The second line could be very interesting. I'd be interested to see what Smolinski can bring to the Plekanec-Kovalev tandem. Perhaps he could grind the corners and behind the net? Could be solid. Also! I'm attending this game. My first ever! AWESOME!
Guest jennifer_rocket
The one thing about it is that Kostopoulos will be right there if someone abuses Kostitsyn or Grabovski... That's exactly what I was thinking. It seems that since the beginning of the season Kostitsyn has been garnering the most attention from opposing players. I've seen him get laid out at least twice. Guest TheBlaster
It might be good to have Kosto with Kostitsyn and Grabo because those two aren't the most defensively responsibly pair...at least Kosto will play it safe and maybe add some sandpaper to the line as well, create some space for them. Smolinski on the second line has me kind of scratching my head though. And he's not playing center either, and he's definitely a strong faceoff man so I don't get that...but I guess they can always switch it up if it doesn't work out, so worth a shot. Guest bigsby
a grinder to help with the flashy forwards could be good against the plugging panthers. for the millionth time: stay out of the box, shoot and WE NEED A SCORER (had to shout that one out) or this season is going to be a long one. Guest MTL_HABS_24
Those would be very weird lines, the second and third lines anyway... I'm reserving judgment until after the game starts but, does anyone else wonder if Carbo's really suited for coaching? From all indications he's as unorthodox a coach as I've seen since Mario Tremblay and that thought scares me to no end. Here's hoping that he has the pulse of the team and that he knows what he's doing. GO HABS GO!!!

GO HABS GO!!! please don't say that with a goaltender like price on the team. good grief. my judgement is still out on carbo as well...but as long as he doesn't sell our future i'll give him a chance. Well, I'm not too worried about a repeat of the '95 fiasco as Price is not Roy (egowise) and Gainey is not Houle. I'm just refering to the wacky lines he's come up with so far in the season, which don't make a lot of sense to me but I'm not an expert, I'm just voicing my opinion. I'm glad, however, that Carbo finally decided to sit out Lats. The kid is lost whenever he's out on the ice. You can tell he's lost whatever confidence he had last year. I believe he's gunshy about hitting anyone since those 2 incidents (I think) involving major penalties being assessed to him. He's not sure if he's a sniper or a checker, but sitting in the pressbox won't help him figure that out. He needs to go back to Hamilton and be mentored by the coaching staff so that he can resume his career and not think too much on the ice because he's just putting too much effort in analysing plays instead of playing by instinct. Guest d80jcrant
Higgins - Koivu - Ryder Smolinski - Plekanec- Kovalev Kostitsyn - Grabovski - Kostopoulos Begin - Chipchura - Dandenault Markov - Komisarek Brisebois - Hamrlik Bouillon - Streit Huet These are the lines according to TSN, Are those correct?? man we need a win in this won, We can have a losing record on home ice. I am looking forward to this one....Can't wait.
Guest CHimbued
The lineup change has the possibility of helping a bit. Adds grit to both 2 and 3 instead of packing it on 3. Kostopolus has been a real hard worker this year so here's to hoping he can get in there despite his slower pace and help out grabs and kosty. Huet is our number one, he played freaking amazing on saturday night so lets ride this guy for a bit.. Price will get another chance soon enough. Edited: Leave the personal comments on other members out next time. JL.
