Guest habs_fan1160
I think we have a good chance to take this game. The Sabres definatley haven't been as threatening this year as they were last season. However, we still shouldn't underestimate them or count them out. We'll have to play a defensivly solid game and generate some offence. Ps. I love the game threads that have the polls in them because the answers are always so bias. But then you get the two or three pessimests who vote for the other team lol.

Guest Lafleurfan2
Hopefuly we play better than we did Saturday night a 3-2 loss to Toronto yuck ouch that hurt because we were home. Being Buffalo no longer has Drury , Briere and Zubrius We should be able to skate pass this team. Michael Ryder and Christopher Higgins should have a big game. I see us winning 5-2. game day is it 5/11/07 or 11/5/07?
Guest habs_fan1160
Ryder has been working hard, it's only a matter of time before things start to look up for him. Hopefully he can get the ball rolling against the Sabres.

Guest futurestar3
i think thtey should do some polls just about the habs not who will win like who will start Huet 0 Price 0 i think price for about the next two or three games also i would go with these lines i think they are what last game higgins-koivu-ryder latendresse-plekanec-kovalev kostitsyn-smolinski-kostopolous begin-chipchura-dandenault markov-komisarek hamrlik-brisebois bouillion/gorges-streit i know some people are gonna say kovalev has earned first line status i agree but i dont want to mess with a good thing, right now all the lines are working so why change it

He may have earned it but he plays well where he is. You'd hate to ruin a good thing, plus it's nice to have some offense threat spread out rather than all on one line, makes it harder for the other team to shut us down so easily. Guest d80jcrant
Here are some more stats. They are starting to make it a little easier to predict the games now. There is a pattern starting to form here. I have a huge spread sheet here on excel if anyone wants it. Anyways here are the stats that pertain to this game. Habs Season Record is 7-3-3 FOR 17 Points; 3.38 GFPG and 2.69 GAPG Habs Home Record is 3-2-2 FOR 8 Points; 3.00 GFPG and 2.29 GAPG Habs NorthEast Record is 2-2-1 FOR 5 Points; 3.60 GFPG and 2.90 GAPG So far this season Habs are 1-0-0 against Buffalo with a 4-2 Win
Guest HabsFanStuckInToronto!
This is going to be a great game cause Montreal vs Buffalo never fails to be a great, high paced game. You want to know the only thing im not looking forward to, Buffalo's MSG announcer, GOD HE IS SO ANNOYING!!!! Anyways, Habs will hopefully come out flying and look to play a strong offensive and solid defensive game. Interesting to see what the lineups will be. I wouldn't be surprised to see the ryder move the second line and have kostitny or latendresse on the first line. I would also like to see Huet, he is our number one, has been amazing so far this year, and needs to know we have confidence in him.

Not much use replacing Ryder on the 1st.line with Lats.He is just about as useless. Also ,if you put ryder on the 2nd.line,that will just serve to make that line ineffective.Ryder could probably benefit from a game or two from the press box so he can watch how it's done.Hopefully he might get the inspiration to try something new like,SHOOT THE PUCK!(but he also needs to know that shooting it right at the goalie doesn't often result in the puck crossing the line for a score!) I would not have a problem with giving Kostitsin a shot at the 1st line for a while but,it will tell us nothing if it's only for part of a game.Let him try it out for at least a few games on a more regular basis and we'll see what comes of it.It sure as heck would not likely be any worse than leaving Ryder there floundering!
