I wonder will Miller go back to back games???

Probably. He's a Martin Brodeur/Roberto Luongo kind of goalie for the Sabres in regards to frequency of games played.

Some interesting line combinations for tonight. I am sure Carbo will be studying them closely.

Some notes on the lines...

- Second line stays in tact and for good reason

- The first line will see Kosotopoulous take over Ryder's spot which can add some strength along the boards and some grit to a small line

- If the first line is a bust, Latendresse might take over or even Dandy

- The third and fourth lines are both energy, hardworking lines with the third one having Ryder, Begin and Smolinski all in an effort to get Ryder going. Don't be shocked if Ryder finally shoots more.

Overall, if the Habs can get three goals, they are most likely set for this game. Come out of the gate and stay noticed for the whole game. Get some shots and quality chances and some will go in on a tired team that just played last night.

Who will be in net for Buffalo? Miller or Thiabault?

If kosto ends up scoring a goal on that first line... we'll NEVER hear the end of it from Greek Hab. Oh well, by contract with him i am bound to say: GO KOSTOPOULOS :P

i'm hoping for a great game! back to back games and buffalo didn't look great.

i can't say i understand kostopolous making the cut on the first line, with grabs in the box, but so it goes. i just hope grabovski doesn't spend too much time sitting - look what ice time has done for kostitsyn.

let's hope the boys can maintain a consistent effort and that they don't take buffalo lightly.

wooohoooo!

They put kostopolous on the first line for defensive ability...not to score...Ryder is a liability on defense and he's not scoring...so he shouldn't be on the first line...that simple.

anybody going to this game?

I'll be sitting in section 113 ( i think), row11. Im right behind the sabres net. I'll have my kovy jersey on. If my old man plays his cards right, I might lend him my kovy tshirt ;) .

Anyways, the sabres were nipped by a powerful sens team last night so there's no doubt they'll be looking to build on that performance and take it to us tonight. They always play us tough. Interesting to see what type of dynamic the line switchup will create.

I think the habs r gonna win tonight since they have advantage since Buffalo played last night. Im hoping Kostapoulos is gonna score tonight since I will have his jersey on watching the game.

not sure if you were responding to my post or not but...i have no problem with ryder dropping to the third line - totally deserved. i'm just surprised kostopolous has taken his place. i'd put a scorer on that line not a defensive forward; that's what higgins is there for. that said, kostopolous has put on quite a show of late. he's been strong on the puck and seems to be one of the few forwards who is able to keep the puck in offensive zone. still, the decision surprised me because grabs is in the pressbox.

Head coach Guy Carbonneau juggled all but his second line on Wednesday. The most noteworthy changes include Michael Ryder being bumped from the first to third line and Guillaume Latendresse dropped to the fourth line. Tom Kostopoulos was elevated from to Ryder's spot. Carbonneau has used Kostopoulos on the first line in the late stages of recent games for defensive purposes.

Since the line of Andrei Kostitsyn, Tomas Plekanec and Alex Kovalev was assembled four games ago, Kostitsyn has had a goal and three assists, Plekanec and has 2 goals (both game-winners) and three helpers, while Kovalev has two goals and three assists. The team is 3-1 in that four-game stretch while the top line of Chris Higgins, Saku Koivu and Ryder has not scored a goal. - TSN
