NEWS FROM BOTH SIDES...

Feelin’ hot, hot, hot: The temperatures outside might be dipping even further below zero with each passing day, but Alex Kovalev, Andrei Kostitsyn and Tomas Plekanec are heating it up inside NHL buildings. The trio has combined for 12 points in their last four games and has provided 40% of the Canadiens’ offense during that stretch.

Guess who? Carey Price will make his third straight start against the Leafs this season, and will aim to remain unbeaten against the Blue & White. It likely won’t be a quiet night for the youngster, who has faced 40 and 46 shots in his two previous outings against Toronto. Price is coming off a pair of solid performances against the Lightning and Flyers, giving up just three goals on 62 shots.

Hal Gill…offensive force: The Leafs’ towering defenseman, not known for adding his name to the scoresheet with just five points in his previous 23 games, has picked nine assists in his last eight contests. Gill is second among Maple Leafs blue-liners with 13 points this season.

i always hate these games!!!! so much on the line for us, the leafs have been good this month thats why i am afraid. i hope the guys show up for the game tonight and start winning at home again. lets help out price this game boys(40 and 46 against him his last 2 games vs leafs..give the kid some help) and gets lots of shots on toskola. lets use our speed like we did in philly. Sergei hope you have a good game, same with the rest of the team...oh and if the ryder who got a hatty in the last game last year wants to show up it would greatly be appreciated.

My boys come in as the hottest team in the league but Price does seem to play well against us.

My prediction 4 - 2 Leafs

Can't wait for the puck to drop. We need a solid team effort tonight and hopefully the guys can deliver. Can I get an Amen? GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!!

Amen. GO HABS GO!

Leafs are playing well and, even though they played a game last night, they'll come out strong like they always do against us. Keeping the shots on Price down would definitely improve the odds. Bell Centre fans are due for a huge win and the team needs to build on the confidence from Thursday night.

60 minutes, 110%.

GO HABS GO!

Just a friendly reminder, not a warning here:

  • If you are a fan of a rival NHL team, you will not attempt to antagonize Canadiens fans. This is the Montreal Canadiens site and Canadiens fans have a right to a place where they can discuss the team amongst themselves in peace. Biased viewpoints should be expected, so if you must respond, please do so in a respectful manner.

  • If you are a Canadiens fan, you will not respond to any antagonizing by a fan from a rival team or antagonize them, just because they support another team. So long as their posts contribute positively to the discussion and are posted in a respectful manner, they are welcome here.
In short, you can only control what you type, not what others do. ;)

Funny thing about the season series between the Leafs and Habs this year is IMO the team that has played better has lost every game so far this year.

In the first two games that Toronto won the Habs were probably the better team but Toskala stole the show. In the last 2 games fortunes seemed to have been reversed, Argueably the Leafs played much better but Price stole the games from them.

Should be a great game tonight, it doesn't get any better then Leafs/Habs on HNIC.

Correction half the league is hotter than Toronto.

6 wins in their last 7 games and the only loss game against a goalie who played an amazing game trying to prove something.

and their top line has 19 points in their last 4 games

Every one on the team has been breaking out of scoring slumps even Belak scored a goal
