Keys to the game defensivly:

Stop Hossa, and Kovlachuck
Need to keep these guys contained. If you give them time, they will make you pay.
Huet may have to stand on his head again.

Keys to the game offensivly
We need to get production from more then 1 line. the Kosti Kovy Pleks line has kept our heads above water all season.
We need others to step up. Good time for the someone else to be the star.

Cant guarentee how often I can do these, but will do them as I can. Ill just toss them up late enough to hopefully not step on someone else who actually wanted to do the thread

It's pretty neat that the Habs have scored more goals then Atlanta even though they have two guys who score lots of goals. Obviously they rely on those two guys and Savard a lot. They also have a not so good goals against average.

Yea for sure we have a multiple productive team. If the habs can shut down the thrashers offence like we did the islanders. Now that would be a miraculous feat because if Kovalchuk shoots anywhere past the blue line it's at a hole in the net i just hope our offence shuts him down and dont let him take those shots. This should be an exciting game to watch.

Hopefully the depth and better defense will overcome the big guns.

No one wants to stop a winning record ;)

Hopefully the depth and better defense will overcome the big guns.

They certainly can do it, they have, now will they? I'm hoping for a win, but as usual my expectation is to have a good show.

to go 3-1 on this trip would be BIG, we only have 1 other extended road trip after tommorow night. we can take this game if we play motivated and disciplined, putting them on the pp only gives kovalchuck more one time opportunity's

Guest HabsFanStuckInToronto!

Really looking forward to this game. I always love when the Habs are on TV!Things have been looking up in Montreal and wherever they go in 2008. Lets hope the good play continues against the Thrashers!Have to be responsibe defensively and Markov/Komisarous have to be ready to shut down Kovalchuk! Or at least limit him and Hossa's chances. The offense showed positive signs when we got two against the Islanders....which is like 4 against anyother team lol. The Kovalev line is on fire and TSN reports that Higgins will be back with Koivu and that will bring more offense from that line. Overall, GO HABS GO AND WIN THIS GAME! I KNOW YOU CAN!

who is atlants starting goale
a revolving door betwene Lehtnon and Hedburg.

Higgins - Koivu - S. Kostitsyn

A. Kostitsyn - Plekanec - Kovalev

Latendresse- Smolinski - Ryder

Dandenault - Lapierre - Kostopoulos

Markov - Komisarek

Hamrlik - Streit

Bouillon - Gorges

According to the TSN Ice Chips

Steve Begin is ready to play, but Guy Carbonneau is not putting him in the lineup just yet. X-rays taken on defenceman Patrice Brisebois' foot were negative. He practised Wednesday, but it is still uncertain if he'll play on Thursday in Atlanta. - RDS/Montreal Gazette

GO HABS GO!!!! Big game here lets keep it going with a win tonight.. No Shootouts this time win in 60 minutes!

Just a quick opinion regarding the posted lines.. I am not a fan of Somlinski playing between Latadresse and Ryder.. I though Laps was playing really well with Ryder and Higgins.. I understand putting Higgins back with Saku but I would still like to have Laps with Latandresse and Ryder with Smolinski playing with Dandineult and Kostopolous..

Just my opinion.

I like the looks of the lines tonight, and for some reason the third line looks dangerous. Hopefully that will be the case!

Perhaps we will be rolling 4 lines tonight on a consistent basis.

i feel the same way. i'm surprised. maybe carbo wants smoke to be the vet responsible for avoiding any defensive lapses on that line - brings a little experience? it's the only thing i can think of. it wouldn't shock me if carbo changed that up during the game if things aren't going the right way, though.
