If the Leafs win this game, we'll only be down 3 points from the Senators, AND we'll have a game in hand. Thus, if we win tomorrow afternoon against the Rangers, we'll be only 1 single point behind the Sens with 53 games played each.

Peace,

Mike

You know what? I like the looks of the line! Smoly has been playing well of late, and Streit and Dandy have some offensive capability. I'm expecting at least one goal out of these guys today. But checking will come first for them; and that's their ace.

My faith in them was rewarded. Nice goal from this line, and I thought they played well as a line; strong game, especially Streit (2nd star). The only line that disappointed was Lapierre's, but I suppose one line is always going to struggle each game (3 out of 4 going well will usually win you the game).

I am expecting Begin and Kosto back in tomorrow, Streit back on defense, Dandy and Brisebois to sit (i.e., the regular line-up of late). The rested guys should be raring to go.

Huet at the blue line for the save lol :

Holy moly, we're now only 3 points out of 1st in the east. The boys are having fun out there (look at Kovalev), playing hard, rock SOLID combination of defense and goaltending, powerplay looks great as always, penalty kill is picking up some smarts and confidence and everyone is buying into the Carbo/Muller/Jarvis system. Its becomming a rare thing for the Habs to come out of a game without at least a point. Need to keep it up because NJ, Pittsburgh, Phili are showing no signs of slowing down.

I'm really hoping we come out smokin again against the Rangers who are turning their game around....with the possibility of being only 1 pt behind Ottawa there shouldn't be a problem getting the boys up for this one

If we do, then we put the "for all the glory" on the boys against Ottawa. Even if we do not maintain first place for a long period of time. The fact we actually managed to catch up and surpass the Sens when everyone, including many of us thought this team was stuck to struggle through an abysmal season, proves this cup can be ours.

Not only that, but to catch a team that had one of the best starts to a season ever. NOBODY thought someone would overtake the senators. Just getting this close it good though, if we got first place the guys might get cocky :)

One player whom I feel deserves a mention is Francis Bouillon. He played a heckuva game tonight, the little guy was flying around decking people, and he played smart, positionally sound hockey in his own end.

He can sure throw a clean hit and take it too :D . GO HABS GO :D
