Bricks should be discussed here for the cost and in the positive thread because it's a great idea.

Oh, poop. I forgot that I wasn't going to come in here anymore. Silly me. <_<

I don't like the fact that we're first. We'll get a pooey draft position.:lol::lol:

Getting hit in the head with a brick - NEGATIVE

Building a brick house so the big bad wolf can't huff and puff and blow your house down - POSITIVE

Making stupid posts like I just did to show that bricks belong in a thread - _________________ (YOU FILL IN THE BLANK  )

not actually making fun of his name personally, more on the lines of annoyed of people cheering for him and heckling other players, when he doesn't do anything more than them. i joke around with names but it;s nothing personal to them, i'd do anything for anyone of those habs.

We can't make fun of a name?

Not wanting to speak out of turn here, but I think that the reason why Weep pulled the Code of Conduct was because of this post:

NOT making fun of a french name. the first time i heard his name, i asked my girlfriend if his name meant marshmallow... she didn't answer, she just looked at me with pity like i am mentally challenged. anyways, the name stuck. making fun of the guy, not the name.

A no-no on this forum. We must remember who owns and operates this fine forum.

Neutral?

Poor defensive play most of the night vs. the sharks.

Brian Campbell's goal on Price. Immediately I thought, "That goal does not get scored against a butterfly goalie."

I bet he wants that back though.

No doubt the kid had a bad game, he should bounce back. The reality of it is, he needs games like last night in order to improve and gain the experience necessary in order to put it behind him and come back strong.

Negative, were a weak fragile team.

Yes we have #74, sergei kostisyn all of 20 yrs old throwing his weight around.

Come again???

I'd love to see an explanation of how we're a weak and fragile team.

It is negative we don't play out west more often.

You only get better by playing teams that are better than you.

Schedule change next season (?) so the habs will have a few more games out west then.

I'd rather have no games in the west. I believe they should have every team in each conference play every other team in their conference the same amount of times and then order the teams from one to eight in order of points. That would be the fairest way to do it. Right now teams with weak divisions get in when they should not. I also don't feel that the west is so much better then the east other then Detroit who can be beaten even though they are the best. There are no super elite teams with the salary cap in place.

there should be more. i'm tired of seeing the sames teams every other night. playing your division rivals 8 times a year.... wow so useless. There's too many games in the season and right now it's not split properly. We should at least play everyone in the west 2 times. Once at home and once on the road. Then divide the east up. But yah it should be divided so we see all the teams.

That's not a negative JL, that's an expected unavoidable fact of life ;)

Well I certainly don't see it as a positive. A great season, first in the Eastern Conference, followed by one bad game and half the players on the team are bums, should be in Hamilton, or should be waved... Not good at all.

Here are a few negatives "Doc".

1) Terrible in face offs last night winning only 43%.

2) Koivu was 40%

3) Plekanec only 26%

4) Terrible team effort in the first 40 minutes.

Though I laugh these are real areas that need work.

If it was not for Price the game would have been lost in the first 40 minutes. Thank goodness for Kovalev too.

Unfortunately, you're right. Those are the little things that will win you games when things aren't going your way. Faceoffs are truly important. Price did steal the game for us, kudos to him and kudos to Kovy for having another outstanding night and leading the Habs to victory.

I'll disagree on the team effort, I thought that Phoenix played really well and like Gretzky said, it was their best game of the year until they took those penalties. However, we were shorthanded quite often ourselves.

All in all, we found a way to win and that is what championship teams do.

We may be deep in third and fourth liners but we are one injury away from being an average team.

An injury to any one of the following players will make us an 7th or 8th place team instead of a 1st to 3rd place team:

Kovalev, Plekanec, Markov, Komisarek, Hamrlik, Koivu

You can say that about almost any team. Detroit has struggled mightily without Lidstrom and Rafalski.

We've been lucky enough to escape major injury to our star players this season, but you have to be good to be lucky, and lucky to be good. :)

Of more concern to me is how we're getting outshot and outplayed again for whole periods during a game. If we're really the best team in the east, we shouldn't be getting consistently outshot and outplayed by teams fighting for playoff spots, like Phoenix.

Pretty much SPOT on weep!! For as long as I can remember, I always question the number of shots our team faces in a game. We seem to have a respectable defence corps, but we constantly fall prey to the cycling of the other teams, they keep the puck in the zone and get their shots. IMO our forwards are not big enough to grab position of the puck in those instances - hence - more shots per game against us. Our goalies have been steering and controlling the puck better after every shot and our defence are experienced enough to not give the other team 2, 3 cracks at a loose puck (generally), but still - a shot is a shot! On those BAD days - those extra shots sometimes makes the difference between a W and an L.
