GIJAYNE
Are we going to have a Stats thread also HLD???lol...beat you by 30 seconds I have it up already. OK. I believe I got all the basic topics into threads. What does everyone think. At this point I'm not looking for additions, just want to make sure we can continue our daily ritual in a more organized fashion.I didn't want to put up a What is MN thread just yet. I don't see it having a hihg enough volume or use to merrit a thread of its own. I believe this could be covered int he MN General Discussion thread. What does everyone think? Guest hatethoseleafs
I really like it. Do you have the ability to do a sticky thread??? If so then that would be a great way of putting up a MN explanation for all newcommers who don't understand.

I like that idea. A locked sticky thread. I was also thinking of stickying the MN Update thread, which could also double as the General discussion thread. I know I created a separate General discussion thread, but I think it makes more sense to keep the general discussion in the update thread. GIJAYNE
Not sure about so many topics??? Overkill in the excitement? Could this hurt the MN concept? I understand the concerns, but let us keep the greater objective in mind. The objective of the sub-forum was to separate, yet keep things together. Basically remain together, but organized so information is more readily and easily accessible. This has been my vision objective, but it will have to stand the test of time. Just to reiterate, the separated threads are not all over the place. For example when Jeopardy got separated and moved to the Lounge, it might as well have been closed cause it was so far away and unaccessible. Now however, all threads are in the sub-forum, together. We can see immediately what is updated. We can access information more quickly. And we can appreciate the individual work people do instead of things getting lost in one massive thread. What do you think?

What do you think? I dont think the MN concept will suffer as a sub forum with seperate related threads. We'll have to play it by ear to see which topics tend to overlap and as you mentioned,,,,we can merge them at that point. I can see the Scout and Game threads being re united and as you brought up ....the update and general conversation threads,,,,, but for the time being ( couple days maybe) we should give it a go this way. What do you think? Its not just a matter of concerns... it does become a matter of practical use of combined information within a thread rather than jumping around from one thread to another. I may be wrong to be sure and this may be better still as you've stated. The other thing that should be consideed is the effect on individual threads within the sub-categorie and the amount of attention they are given by posters... some may simply die out due to lack of interest... while at the same time outsiders may be even more confused/cause greater confusion as we've seen in numerous other threads on the forum. (More work for the MODS?) Perhaps some combinations to limit the number of threads would make sense... what do you think?

I'm actually going to get rid of the General Discussion thread right away. That one isn't going to work as intended. The Update thread is the logical place for discussions. Guest hatethoseleafs
I had a thought on that sticky thread we were discussing earlier too HLD. It might be a good idea if along with a locked thread explaining the MN concept if it also included just the current MN number's just for quick easy access. Might be easier then having two seperate sticky's and that would allow the general thread to float as it does now. What do you think??

Guest hatethoseleafs
What's a sticky thread? Why do we need one? It stays at the top of the forum and nobody can post in it if locked. It would serve as an explanation of what the MN is and how it works. No more questions to answer when somebody new comes in and asks what the heck is this MN thing. GIJAYNE
The What is MN thread will become a sticky locked posts eventually (which is why I deleted posts to keep it clean...we'll do a full clean-up when we have a post). As for the part that's on the blog, it's a jpeg file, not a word doc.

(Maybe a necklace with some hair and maple syrup is a sticky locked thread?) I'm confused by all these MN threads. I'm sure I'll get the hang of it when it's all sorted and up and running for a bit... It's fairly straight forward: - One thread for my updates and general discussion - One thread for all the number crunching - One thread where all predictions will be made (easier to keep track of for you...no filtering required ) - One thread where the scouting reports will be (centrelised information...our CIA ) - Once thread for the jeopardy The rest are "aromatics" Hope this clarifies it. Keep in mind that we will not be adding anymore threads unless we add a new sub-topic for the MN.

Guest chocolate
Good morning! I actually like the new MN sub-forum now (after a really good night). Yesterday I did not realize, that the sub-forum is seen from the general habs discussions sub-forum. I was afraid, it has been moved to something like lounge sub-forum. I am not sure if we should have separate numbers thread, though. I believe, bonus analysis belongs to MN update/discussion thread. The tables, though, should be on some kind of sticky thing, cause they are in the images, that are updated outside of the forum. I.e. their current status can be seen by just refreshing a browser. These are just some of my thoughts. I can not be here for long enough to read your comments/decisions, cause I have to be prepare myself for my business trip to far far away (far East to be correct). I will post current numbers updates in the Numbers thread sometime today. Tomorrow morning I will be on the plane. Should be in the hotel just by the time to post numbers for Wednesday, but there is a chance I would not be able to do it. But, almost for sure, I would not be able to read all the crazy stuff you post here till the weekend ...
Guest mateus
it will take some getting used to, but im content! i say we just keep an eye out and see how everythign goes. the MN was a beaute! the predictions game was nothing and look at it now! same goes for jeapordy! both of which founded stats and scouting reports. i say ride the wave and will see what else our zanny members come up with, this sub-forum can only encourage it! w00t w00t! GIJAYNE
Alright, so I added the scoreboard and standings as a sticky as per a previous suggestion. I personally like it. I don't think the official update thread has to be a sticky, and in fact I found it somewhat confusing. I say we use stickys for locked, one time posts...such as "What is MN" and the scoreboard. We're smoothing out the edges
