I hate these back to back games, in particular these Friday nights against the Sabres. For some strange reason we don't play well against them on those nights. However, with the way that they are playing lately, I have every confidence that the boys will do well this evenig. Solid 'D and everyone being on the same page.

Enjoy the game Keith.

GO HABS GO!!!!

the past few seasons what i remember about friday nights in Buffalo is them skating circles around us all night, maybe if we decide to skate ourselves it will be a different outcome

Speak for yourself...I think it was 100% the right call. It is clear that this is Price's team going forward, so handing him the reins is a vote of confidence for him and also, I beleive he has outplayed Huet recently anyway. At this stage, Price learns nothing sitting on the bench
just alittle to early to have pulled the plug on Huet and let price deal with everything
I agree but the Boys have to realize that nothing has been clinched yet and they need to play their game and concentrate on defense. Huge games tonight & tomorrow and I hope we're ready.
nothing is clinched ? hahah i would hope nope only being 6pts ahead of 9th
Thanks! I also hope they don't come out lazy today....habs need 4/4 points this weekend because of that mini losing streak they just had. i don't know who "we all" is, but don't include me in that. Switching Price/Huet too often was wrong. Price needs to play and Huet was slacking a bit. It was the right move. Everybody criticizes Gainey for everything he does. We didn't draft Angelo Esposito...boom let's bash him. We brought Halak to play last year in the stretch and ignored Abby...boom let's bash him. Samsonov is not doing well here...boom bash GAiney/Carbo. blah blah. Gainey knows what he is doing more than any of us.Yea, I miss Tom K as well, but I guess if the team is clicking...let them click!I'm sure Tom will play tomorrow, since its back to back.
haha leave me out of the Esposito Samsonov Halak thing i agreed with all those moves
well this is what we watch and follow all year for.....this game has huge ramifications...Buffalo is coming on hard ..Ottawa's fading....other teams like the Rangers and Pitts are playing stronger and making a run..the whole division is tight and Buffalo wants to make it tighter...the Habs are a group that play well on the road while Buffalo is in high gear and for the most part has owned us lately...time to step up...should be interesting
this time of year is what its all about

Oh man, I would much rather have Begin in the lineup than Smolinski. We really are seeing, as of late, how redundant Smolinski is. He has not been physical all year, he has no been winning important face-offs, and he has not been assisting the offense. Begin, at the least, brings good energy, blocks shots, and hits.

Begins's groin injury has been going on for a few weeks now, he needs to rest it for 3 or 4 straight days and go from there.... smolinski brings nothing close to what begin brings but what can we do

that second logo makes the Banana Slug look alright!

Nothing signifies winning more than an 800 pound animal on skates.

Maybe if the buffalo was eating some grass or something ...

This game will go one of 2 ways...

1-0 / 2-1 (something like that) or...

8-7 / 10-9

I don't see any middle ground.

high scoring is better for the habs.

no no cant play stopper over smolinski  lol

Smolinski, Kostopoulos, Lapierre, Dandenault and Begin, although all playing a slightly different style, are all fighting for similar spots in the line-up and are all interchangeable IMO.

I agree - as long as none of them get sucky about it like samsonov did last year!!! <_<

Dandenault almost did.

true - but i think carbo learnt a little something with the samsonov situation which i think has helped him deal with such situations... plus i think danenault is a little different character than samsonov... IMO

I can't disagree more. Work ethics is not a problem with the players I've mentioned. They simply play different styles.

someone tell me how boston manages to beat the penquins yet we make it look hard. i mean 9 out of 10 times we'll blow boston out of the rink, they just stink , but i can't figure this out. how do they WIN...their team IS JUST SO SAD.

They show up to play and very seldom do they get outworked. Also, Thomas has been solid all year.
