Habs - Team to beat in the east .. Wow. I missed that to.

Should be a good game. Got to jump on them early .. Meaning the Sharks. (4th)

They got good goal tending and work horse grinders that can score. Overall, they're

a pretty good club. They got size speed and experience. Good goal tending and good

defense will be must. The boys got to stay out of the box and everyone has to give

it their all for a full 60 minutes.

Later ...

Then .. The Coyotes, (10th) Habs should get this one, as long as they don't get over confident. I Think these guys are fighting for a playoff spot?

Kings (15th) These guys would love to beat a number 1 team. That says it all.

Ducks - (5th) Can be hard to beat, but habs should be able to pull it off with a lot of hard

work and staying out of the p-box. Everyone needs to step up / show up and work hard.

Ohhh .. how I wish all the habs games were televised here. :(

(Just plain low channel cable - In the sticks.)

Go Habs Go !!

I hope our Habs do well on this trip, because the closer you get to the top of the hill, the more people there are that want to knock you off. this trip will be a tough one, but I don't see any reason we shouldn't return with 6 out of 8 points.

haha, for me it's school work and bam hockey! Yeah that's right. I get up at 6:50, leave at 7:00, leave school at 6pm for work, get back at midnight. That's what you call one hell of a bad day :D

For let me see...

School? Nope, finished that.

Work? Nope.

Other activities? Nope.

Bedtime? Not since I was ten.

Time for hockey? Damn right!

I think I've only missed three or four games this season, excluding those few blows outs I've turned out midway through because I hate watching us die. You all want to stab me right about now don't you? :P

I expect Gorges and Saku to come out flying, same thing for 52 on the other side. It'll be pretty good game. I think it'll be similar to the game saturday a defensive battle.

I think it is very interesting that the Sens are playing the same 4 teams this week. We then have THREE head to head out of the 12 remaining games. If we out play them on the "same" road trip and then beat them 2 out of 3 we should win our division and maybe the conference. WOW!!!

I was just on the Sens website to look at their schedule. I guess they had to dumb it down for the Sens fans by having separate road and home schedules. The Laffs website is the same. Hmmm. I guess we are not only the best fans but the smartest. We don't drive to the arena in Montreal when the game is out of town. :D

If we get the first goal , we win...you can count on that.
nothing is guaranteed
Carbo won't let the players be overconfident, we don't have to wry about that. After all we haven't accomplishged anything yet. We aren't even guarenteed a playoff spot. A lotta work left to be done. 16 games left...... can yuou beleive tsn , they are now talking about the makebelives making the playoffs when the ywere never out of the race. now their going to make this big story about how they can make it and all that crap. will they make it. ..one part of me wants to see a a series between us and them, but that team just stinks too much so we can throw that out the window
we wouldnt want to see that series, leafs pretty much ownnnnnn us
10:30 game? It's been a while.
This is our latest start since Jan 21st 2006 in vancouver

Let's see now,,,,,,S.J. has allowed the 2nd fewest goals with 155, but they aren't that good at home, going 14-13-5. They also haven't scored that many, scoring only 170 times. They are 5-4-1 in their last 10 while we are 7-3.

Yup, it all adds up to a big W for us, but ONLY if we work hard, cuz the goals are going to be few and far between.

Look for a low-scoring affair. 3-1, or 3-2..

Don't be too surprised if Boucher gets the start in goal for San Jose. He's coming off a 2-0 shutout. Has Nabokov been announced for this game already?

San Jose will be looking for the quick jump on offense and they could bring some aggressive checking early to try and intimidate our players. They know this is our first trip west in a while and our guys might not be too sure of themselves the first game. I feel more comfortable having Begin in the lineup against western teams, hope he is able to get into the lineup at some point during this road trip. St. Louis really pounded on the Sharks last game, so they could be mean.

We're going to get our chances and we're going to have to make good on a number of opportunities. San Jose is going to be a tough team to keep out of our defensive end and Price will need the support of our D under sustained pressure. Everyone except O'Byrne should be focused on getting the puck out of the zone, (O'Byrne tends to ice the puck) and while Thornton is a threat to shoot, but we need to focus more on taking away his passes, best not to let him have the puck at all. Rebounds are trouble, the Sharks will be circling the net.

I doubt we will hold down their offense very well, so unless Price makes a steal, prepare for a higher scoring game. Five each way isn't out of the question, more likely 3 or 4. Either way, it should be an intense game and a good one to watch. I don't doubt our defense, but this is going to be a character test for our team. They can't get lazy or have their heads in the clouds and they can't be timid or looking down the road. Gaining the conference lead is a feat, holding onto the lead can be a chore. Relax and keep your heads in the game boys.

Kovalev is due for a goal or two, if his foot is feeling fine, he'll be pulling some fancy moves to get his chances. An assist is a point, but Kovalev loves putting the puck in the net himself and he'll be hungry.

Lapierre is going to be pumped after a standing ovation from the home crowd and all the talk of his efforts in the final minutes of the Devils game. Look for him to go hard for the puck every shift, he'll want to do something special to keep the fans at home happy.

Looking for the same effort as the last few games. Gorges might put in an extra or even heroic effort against his former team and we would all love to see that. You have at least one fan out their Gorges, make Gainey look good!

I'm looking for the win (of course!) but unless Boucher starts and his last game was the exception and we chase him early, this should be a hard fought close game. I say "should" because we don't know how we will react to being on the top and our guys could surprise us with a blowout if they are as pumped as the fans are. You could put any five hardcore habs fans on the ice right now and the Sharks wouldn't have a chance. We'd eat them alive.

Everyone that is going to the game, hook up with the big group of 82 and make this a home game. If I see you on camera I will stand up and applaud you on the spot. Make some noise!

Gigantic test for our defense

Guest HabsFanStuckInToronto!

I am staying up late tonight and I want to be rewared with a WIN!

No reason why it can't happen. Price has to be solid, the team has to put in a hard effort all game long because just like New Jersey, we are going to have to work for our scoring chances.

The X-Factor: PP MON vs PK SJS - #1 PP vs # 2 PK - Move the puck around the outside and then get Kovalev to take his shot from the faceoff circle.

Work hard boys and don't let up. If you can score 3 goals, the game is most likely over.

GO PRICE GO! GO SCORE GO! GO HABS GO!
