Guest Me_Habs_Fan
Last Game: Habs got to get the Sens out of their heads. Meaning - The we can't beat these guys crap. They got a fluke goal, one on a dropped puck after a hard (stopped) shot. They only got one real goal. If Habs would have come right back and got one after the fluke goal, it might have made a big difference. No offense = No offense = No Production. Tonights game: Hopefully, they'll be strong offensively and defensively this game. I hope Halak and Grabs both have a good game. It will be nice to see them play again. If the Habs "all" show up to play tonight, we should win this one. GO GO GO GO Habs!

ColRouleBleu
The 3 games against the Isles this season could have been named The Tomas Plekanec Show. Hopefully, the days off will have given Pleks a chance to completely get his good shape back. We will need his usual speed and spark against a team that could very well put the Habs to sleep if they dont stay alert. I'm not worried at all that we have what it takes to win this game. I'm a little less certain about whether the guys will bring their complete tool box or not. There's not reason not to but we never know. Anyway, the game against the Sens was a good reality check and energy should be spent less on laughing and joking during the warmup and more on executing plays correctly during the game. 4-1 win; 3-1 win; 4-1 win; _______ ? in an elementary school 3rd grade math exercise book, the answer to complete this logical suite would be 3-1 win. Now is the Bell Centre an elementary school 3rd grade math exercise book? We need a DD performance - Discipline and Defense
Guest Ricochet
I've been confident in Halak since last year and he hasn't given me any reason to doubt him. Hope for more of the same. Same thing with our top line. No reason to doubt them. They've had a couple of less productive games, but the potential is still there and hopefully they'll get their opportunities to make good tonight. Wary of the Koivu line. I don't see them getting many chances unless they really force the issue and none of them has really been doing work in that regard. Looking for Koivu to grind more, Lats to take to the net and Ryder to find holes and make himself available. Need more enthusiasm from Lats in general. The whole line has to push until they have no choice but to back off, hopefully the D will be solid behind them. I'm hopeful for the Grabovski line. If Higgins got the message from Carb in no uncertain terms, he should be in front of the net and picking up some chances. I don't doubt that Grabovski and S. Kostitsyn will be able to put the puck in the right places. I worry about Grabs on the boards and behind the net because of his size, he'll have to play fierce and get used to being mauled in a hurry if he is going to have an impact on this team going into the playoffs. I'm less concerned about the 4th line with Kostopoulos and Streit together. I think Lapierre should be in Smolinski's spot. While Smolinski has been playing better, Lapierre has been a hard working consistent performer. I hope this truly is a vacation/reward scenario for Lapierre. If it's a discipline thing, I have to wonder if Carb is watching the same Lapierre that I am. Streit will be able to get the puck in the zone, Smolinski should have the faceoffs under control and Kostopoulos has shown a desire and ability to shoot the puck on net, if not in the net, so the potential is there. With Brisebois in O'Byrne's slot, I can only assume we will be running some pinch-in plays. Markov and Brisebois making an effort to contribute while Komi/Hamrlik play responsibly. I expect our Bouillon/Gorges pairing will be relegated to strictly defence and they are solid when on their game. I wouldn't be surprised if Gorges wants to pinch in himself after watching the other two pairings, hope he doesn't get in trouble on the ice or on the bench for it. Islanders just ended a heavy losing streak and won't want to fall back to that. They should be playing hard. DiPietro has suffered the last few games, going around 1-6 with a GAA over 4.00. I usually worry playing these teams because they can't lose forever and the law of averages could work against us. Hopefully the Habs go out of their way to make me happy and give me something to cheer about. Go Habs Go!
Guest d80jcrant
This game is very winnable. But take the Isle lightly and itcould be to losses in a row. Halak wants ice time so I expect nothing but nearly perfetion from him. Hope rest ofthe team haves a rebound game from other night

Guest HabsMan11
I have nothing against Halak, he's a great goalie and will be for many years to come, but him starting tonight doesn't make sense to me. Price didn't play well against the Sens, granted, but what happened to letting the #1 bounce back? I understand this gives Halak an oppurtunity because the Islanders aren't exactly the cream of the crop, but neither is St.Louis, however St.Louis is the better of the two. Despite all this, hopefully Halak can bring us back into second, even if its only temporary. Hopefully the Canes' wake Ottawa up for us tomorrow Also, next week, Ottawa doesn't play until Thursday, so we need to win tonight and Tuesday, these are the points that will decide whether we win the division or we are in fifth. If we win tonight, Ottawa loses tomorrow, and we win Tuesday, we jump ahead four points going into Thursday when we both play. We gotta come up big if we really want the division, and even first. Guest Jason Lorette
The Canadiens will have a new look to their front lines with Mikhail Grabovski as the new centre for Christopher Higgins and Andrei Kostitsyn, and captain Saku Koivu between Guillaume Latendresse and Michael Ryder. - tsn.ca What the...? very winnable game, full faith in Halak. Guest Flying Lion
Another big game tonight. I think they're all big games from here on in. The Boys need to reassert themselves and make a statement of some sort tonight. Ideally with a big fat 2-points. Toronto's playing Buffalo. I hate rooting for the Leafs but a loss to Buffalo would put the make- or-break line one point farther back. Either way, we are Masters of our own Destiny. GO HABS GO!
