Guest LarryRobinson
3 days till the fun starts. I dont know if this is as big a deal in Canada, but its alot of fun here in the States. Who are your cinderallas? Some tough choices out there.....

Guest Bud2790
I think Davidson might surprise a few teams! I have them losing to Georgetown in the 2nd round, but i think they might make it further. But most of my bracket is 1 through 4 teams making it the the Sweet 16. In Canada it's definately not as big as in the US, but it's fairly popular!
franck5890
I do find it more exciting that regular basketball, that's for sure. I follow what I can, mainly the highlights and the hooplah surrounding the madness. I think Kansas State might be able to pull off the upset over USC, and anything goes from there. I know USC just narrowly lost to UCLA, but meh. I don't think there will be any huge cinderalla stories this year though.
Guest gerryp18
Annoys the hell out of me, whenever I'm watching the ticker to see a score all I get is about 10 miniutes of college basketball scores.
Guest LarryRobinson
I don't think there will be any huge cinderalla stories this year though. I'd tend to agree, but at the same time there arent a lot of dominating teams. Its a very open tournament. Im partial to the Big East as Im an eastcoaster, so hopefully G'Town will make a run. Annoys the hell out of me, whenever I'm watching the ticker to see a score all I get is about 10 miniutes of college basketball scores. During the rest of the year I totally agree with you. Like I care whether San Diego State just beat Oregon, I want my NHL scores. However, this is different. Every office has a pool going, every group of guys has pool going, bets are made, and people take thursday/friday as half days to go watch the action at the bars. Its completely insane, but also IMO one of the best sporting events of the year because there is always alot of drama, and people normally have a vested interest i.e. wagers. Guest martinm87
Annoys the hell out of me, whenever I'm watching the ticker to see a score all I get is about 10 miniutes of college basketball scores. Like MLB scores on "The Score" when I'm waiting for MLS scores. Each game takes about 6 minutes and I don't know how many games per day but it would take like 45 minutes each time the MLB scores came up, so I would switch channels until MLS came on. I usually ended up missing it because MLS scores would only last 30 seconds and then another 45 minutes of MLB.... p.s sorry for gonig off-topic.... lol I've never watched a full NCAA or NBA game. Though I usually stop and check out the NCAA games whenever they're on, they seem a little more exciting. Sometimes they have crazy crowds and I'm not sure if it's really the case but in the games I've seen it seemed like it had a little bit of a faster pace to it, maybe because they're younger? Guest Dintrox12
I dont follow NCAA too much. I always fill out a bracket for contests on sportsnet or thescore. It is fun to see if you can predict upsets ( there will probably be a couple in the first round). Some teams that might surprise: USC -- someone mentioned them earlier UCONN -- they always seem to do better than expected.. I always cheer for the fightin' Irish whether football ( ughh what a horrendous last season) or hoops...

Guest Wayne
Kansas State (!) and Western Kentucky with the biggest upsets so far.there's your annual 5-12 upset... I figured it would be Notre Dame for sure this year... they lose in the first round of the Big East Tourney, George Mason was a Cinderella team last year, Notre Dame always chokes in post-season football and basketball... btw, I really love the Fighting Irish

Guest Wayne
duke lost to west virginia what a huge upsetI wouldn't say that... I think a lot of 'experts' didn't think Duke was that good this year... they didn't play that well down the stretch, failed to gain revenge on NC at home in their regular season finale, then failed to even make it to the ACC tourney final for another shot at NC... I see Notre Dame is playing down to form against Wash St... be home in time for Easter services and brunch...
Guest Lafleurfan2
It's college basketball I find it boring. If I had my choice I would rather watch Boston College play cornell in Hockey. out where you people live I would imagiane College hockey has to be exciting? I would think there have to been some games on tv? in the state there has been no college hockey at all. last year they had something from the Boston area. Guest ATLHab
Too bad I chose to go to GT over Davidson in part because they are better at basketball. Plus I had G'Town going to the final four. Carolina will win it all though. In tonight's games I think UNC's defense will be too strong for how slow Wash St plays; and hope WVU will beat Xavier, mostly because WVU beat Duke, and Duke sucks. I missed nine first round games, anyone worse?
