Guest feistyboy27
actually has started skating since the past month, has had a practice with contact and i'm sure pumped up after missing the whole season but he did say he wont be playing on thursday. Well we will see, but there is no substitute for game experience. I really think it would take atleast 7 or 8 games after missing almost a whole season to get back in the groove, no matter how much he has practiced. Even Crosby hasnt looked like himself the bit he has played since coming back from injury, but he hadnt been out anywhere near as long as Bergeron (granted he might still be injured since he had to take more time off then). Guest Innis_Mor
It's the Bruins Seriously, we shouldn't underestimate Boston, they will play hard, but it would take a complete collapse for them to win the series. Montreal is clearly the superior team9 and there is no reason Boston should beat us, although stranger things have happened. On offense, they have Savard (0 playoff games), Sturm (who is good but can be shut down), and a longshot with Bergeron. Boston Globe is reporting Bergeron may be back in for game 2 of the series: http://www.boston.com/sports/hockey/bruins...ersey_is_o.html

Guest BigWill09
I am seriously actually hoping Bergeron is not playing for even like the first 4 games or so. Its been a while since our boys have had to play against him....almost as if its an unknown.
Guest muskeg
still think we've got a strong chance at making it to the finals because on our best night we can take it to any team in the east...but in the playoffs there's another level of intensity in the playoffs, so i highly doubt we'll have 8-2 blowouts vs. boston. my prediction is win in 6 games
Guest Puck_It
i THINK this is the YEAR for our Habs! Lord Stanleys Cup comes back to Montreal where it rightfully belongs!GO HABS!just beat them hated bruins first N foremost.
tmash
Vegas Odds: 1-10 Montreal wins the cup (this is tied with Pittsburgh for highest in the east), tied for 3rd in the league I believe (below Anaheim and San Jose). So statistically the bet makers think Montreal has a 10% chance of winning the cup, not too shabby ...
Guest moe181
Woooohooooo the monkey has picked the habs to win the first round! Why bother watching now? Its in the bag XD Seriously though, I thought TSN wouldn't bring the monkey this year as it's sorta getting old. I still think we can never take Boston (or any team) lightly in the playoffs, and so I hope Guy and the boys know that too. Go habs go

Guest Ray10
Who knows how far they will go there is some tough competition in this playoffs. If the Habs stick to their game and play they way they have been all year they will make it very very far.
Guest olddude
EA Sports (simulated stanley) has us going to the finals against the Sharks and losing in 7. If we get to game 7 of the cup final, there is no way we will lose. http://watch.tsn.ca/nhl/clip44193#clip44193

We fans, however, should have no qualms about it -- have fun !! Habs in 4!! Only 1 of them a 1-goal game!! (No OT).

Guest olddude
How about that monkey? What a joke that is. I don't know who's the bigger fool, TSN for bringing the monkey on in the first place, or the analysts for setting themselves up to be beat by a monkey. Guest hablover
I honestly would be dissapointed with anything but a conference final appearance, if not the win. Stanley cup would be nice but i'm not expecting it.
Guest AvroArrow
I'm a bit confused here. I hear some people talking about the Penguins like they're the team to beat in the east. Well guess what, they're not. WE are the ones who finished first. WE are the highest scoring team in the NHL. WE are the team that will kill you if you decide to play physical and get a penalty against us. Last but not least, WE are the team that will skate circles around the competition and have been doing it pretty much all year. With Detroit's seriously "bad division" inflated stats, the only team that we need to really fear is the Sharks. And even then, we've beaten Thornton before and we can do it again, injury or no injury.

Guest V-172
I feel that the East is up for grabs too, if Price performs to the level we expect him to i think we have enough firepower to atleast compete againts the likes of Pittsburgh and Washington. If everything goes well, i see them grabbing the conference title, anything beyond that would obviously be an absolute icing on the cake. This Habs team is one Big-D and big centre away from winning it all.
Guest Cenner Hice
"How far will the Habs go in the playoffs?" Well, I've just come back in my little time machine (it has a 132" HD tv, beer fridge (with attachments), en-suite toilet, jacuzzi, gym and some other features I'm not allowed to mention for fear of disrupting the space-time contuinuum) to change my bets placed at the start of 2008. I'm not going to give you the answer, but you'll be as surprised as I was. Nevertheless, the regular season was a fantastic ride for all of us, I think you'll agree. Unless you wear bleu-blanc-rouge tinted glasses, the team has gone further than any realist thought. Enjoy the ride through the post-season. It does get a bit bumpy. And a message to the bandwaggoners out there: stay on through thick and thin. You are currently supporting the best team in the history and future of the game. Guest Waiting for Cup 25
They will go as far as they can. Our Rocket, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy 9. Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, In The Bell, as it was in The Forum Give us this day our needed win. And forgive us our losses, as we thank those who lost against us. And lead us not into golf courses, but deliver us The Cup. For thine is the heritage, the power and the glory. for ever and ever. Amen
