Guest Hoyle00cdn
We're not going to be able to win Game 7, until the entire world of the Montreal Canadiens accepts and realises the fact that Boston is a well coached and strong team. I hate Julien and I hate the entire Bruins lineup (esp Lucic and Chara), but they have strong chemistry and play well together. Julien may have been onto something when he said Boston simply played their worst games against Montreal in the regular season, while Montreal played their best. It's time we *shivers* give the Bruins the respect they deserve and realise that our aggrivations over this series are not because Montreal is playing well below their potential, but because the Bruins have found ways to match each aspect of our game. We have to stop thinking there is going to be this magical moment when the Habs will awaken from this mysterious deep sleep and annihilate Boston. In order to win Game 7 we must first accept the fact that Game 7 will be extremely hard.
amp73
.... Boston is basically an OHL team right know ... So what does that make Montreal ? You do realize that if the regular season series between Boston and Montreal were split, instead of Montreal winning all 8 games, then Boston would be in 1st with 102 pts and Montreal would be in 6 th with 96 - We had their number during the regular season but it means nothing now

Most of us likely didn't watch the Bruins play against other teams. They had more wins against the rest of the NHL then we did. PJ Stock mentioned it and all his points so far have been valid sadly because I really don't like him much. He said Price would be the biggest key. He said the fourth line would be the next biggest key. He said Kovalev would be minor key in winning. So far hes right on all counts. Regardless of how much talent the Bruins have they can still win because they play a New Jersey Devils style of hockey and the Habs don't want to pay the price to score the ugly goals for the most part. Guest Bobineau
Well the Bruins 4th goal sums up pretty much the series, Kovalev refused to take the hit to get the puck out. While our D has taking hits after hits, many forwards have shyed away, creating a lack of scoring chances and in some cases, goals against. Very disappointed in some players. Guest 1970 Habs
Eastern Conference: Bruins battle adversity to tie series at 3-3 Why the Bruins won: It's an overused cliché, but the Bruins played this game with everything to gain and nothing to lose. They've battled adversity since Patrice Bergeron went down in October and played tight, playoff-style games all season long. It makes perfect sense that this club is the first in franchise history to force a Game 7 after falling behind 3-1 in the series. Why the Canadiens lost: Surprisingly, the Habs got beat at their own game. Carrying a lead into the third period, the action moved to the fast-paced, wide-open game the Canadiens would have preferred to play all along. The shots were 36-35 and 16-13 in the final period, both in favor of the Bruins. As head coach Guy Carbonneau put it, "We gave them three goals on breaks ... We had veteran guys on the ice every time and we just didn't react the right way." Containing Phil Kessel might be a top priority for Montreal in Game 7 as he once again was an impact all around the ice, scoring twice, putting up six shots and creating chances up and down the ice. Key play of the game: Marco Sturn capped a wild third period with 2:37 left when he came out of the corner, shot it into traffic and ended up getting the puck back to beat a diving Carey Price for the game-winning goal. For the second straight game, the Bruins put four pucks in the net over the final 20 minutes. What's next: The series heads back to Montreal where the top seeded Canadiens might have ghosts, but clearly don't have momentum. As for a short-term fix, the Habs would benefit if the Flyers close out the Capitals, as Montreal was 4-0 against Philadelphia and 0-4 against the Rangers. If Boston wins, the Bruins and Penguins would match-up in round two. Source: http://msn.foxsports.com/nhl/story/8049992...ty,-elimination

Guest AlexK
It takes me a day or two to release the pent up frustration sometimes. I wish I could just let it go, but it's hard to do. When it's all over I will be really sad to see the team go out this way honestly. It's never good to go out on a bad note like losing to the Bruins who you were supposed to have an easy series against. I'd rather go out against a team like the Rangers or even the Flyers who have some talent on their teams and are supposed to be a match for the Habs. Such a great season with so many highs and to end in the first round would be pretty tuff to take even though life goes on and it will be forgotten somewhat over time. One thing it will show though is that this team needs more toughness and grit. We are just to soft. Especially at the center ice position. We really need a big gritty talented center. Guest rob2h
I can honestly say I still believe the habs will win this series.I knew before this series started that it would be a tough one.I also thought the habs would have sealed the deal by game 5,and had they won game 3 it would have been 4.Now they have Koivu back and he looked good out there tonight but I am yet to be impressed by Kovalev and I think his line is the key to the habs winning game 7 so I'm predicting Kovalev and Price have a huge game 7 for the habs and eliminate the Bruins. This has been a great series and is the type of series the habs need to be in to make them a better playoff team.A lot of people may not like it or agree but teams that win a series like this one go on to be champions. There is no better situation for the habs to prove themselves it's now or never.Go Habs Go!!! Guest Chrisfrom123
Habs need to give 100% at all times. None of this skating towards the puck but not going after it garbage. Im not impressed with Kovalev's play at all. It seems like he thinks he shouldnt have to put in as much effort as everyone else. It's garbage. I also think they should put Stewart in the lineup. He is an enforcer and they have nobody to hit except Komisarek and he doesn't do a great job.

Guest slode
montreal are getting robbed and mocked, by bostons chain( their set up infront of our net) they know our moves with their devious spies(chara) they block our commands and we forfeit our zone(boston forwards) maybe all thats left is what we do best ( hit them hard and never look back) i'd like to see more accurate shots from the point with tips and less sticky feet protecting our zone..clear it, make a plan, utilize blockers, take advantage of offensive zone hits, we once had carriers of the likes of chelios,,boullion has these skills we need more offensive defense, and defensive offense all and all it was an excellent game, alittle to much desperate effort,i truly believe they trick us in second and third by giving the open ice,we have the better goalie(S),either score more in the 1st,or dont change your game please Guy,slow it down, somehow, goalie equipment, time out,,use it,when we need it

Guest AvroArrow
One of our biggest problems is that our defence is gawd-awful! (Love how the forum here doesn't like the word "defence"..lol) Markov is panicking and that's a bad sign. Markov had noone around him and he iced the puck. That's panic if I've ever seen it. Boullion got totally undressed and I'd be pissed only at him if the rest of our defence didn't suck so bad. In game 1, WE were winning the races to the puck, WE were all over them, WE looked dominant. And now, our guys are SAUNTERING out there! We need to be hungry like they are, we're a Cup favourite and we're playing like we don't even belong on the same ice as the #8 team. It's true that if we had split the games with Boston, they'd be #1 but that's insignificant because if they won 4 more games against other teams and we lost 4 more, it would be the same situation. Boston is in 8th place, if it's our doing, so be it. All the more reason this series should have ended long ago. Boston isn't playing particularly well, it's us shooting ourselves in the foot left and right that's doing it. I heard a rumour this year that we had the top power play in the league and Boston was ranked #28 in penalty-killing. There's no way that this is their doing. We're just choking, pure Senators style. I only hope that the players realize that if they lose the next game, they better be ready to wear paper bags on their heads for the entire summer! I know I will be. Note: I agree that dressing Stewart and some other big guys would be a good idea.

Agree on the whole defence part...we need to WANT the puck. swinging your stick in front of you hoping that it might intercept the puck is not going to do it. Oh and they need to skate the way they normally do. glad to see koivu and boullion back though...even though bouillon got undressed but that happens sometimes...i just like it better when its Kovalev undressing an opposing team lol.
