.....and knowing that all the Shawshank Redemption fans out there will recognize where I stole these words from (remember 'Red'? (Morgan Freeman)), I think I'll express just how I feel right now, as a long, long-time, died-in-the-wool, Habs' fan:

I find I'm so excited, I can barely sit still or hold a thought in my head. I think it is the excitement only a Hab fan can feel, a Hab fan at the start of a long play-off journey whose conclusion is uncertain. I hope the Montreal Canadiens can make it to the Stanley Cup Finals. I hope to see our friend, Bob Gainey, some day, and shake his hand. I hope the Cup is as beautiful in Saku Koivu's hands as it has been in my dreams. I hope.

... and whether the Habs make it to the finals this season, I expect at this time next season, it will be the same feeling, and the season after that....
