Guest CHimbued
Don't know if anyone is interested in golf around here (it wasnt in the other sports category) but it's that time of year where the best of the best head down to Georgia and duke it out for the green jacket. Zach Johnson won it last year, but the majority consensus is that tiger will bring it home this year with the way he has been playing. Trevor Immelman leads after two rounds at -8 while Tiger sits back at -1. Master's history predicts a drop off in the leaders scores during the 3rd round of the tournament as it is really difficult to keep up a consistent game on a course of that difficulty. As for our Canadian contingent, Ames sits at -4 and Weir is a -3. Both within striking distance of the lead. Look for scores to drop all around tomorrow though as the wind picks up and shot placement becomes an issue on greens where a couple feet one way the other could lead to having a near impossible but to finish. Guest ATLHab
Wish I had seen this earlier, I love golf, especially the Masters. I went on Saturday, and got to see Ames play his shot out of the water on hole thirteen, one of the most exciting shots of the day, except then he went on to drill the Eisenhower tree on 17. I think that Immelman will be a good champion though, even though I was pulling for either Ames or Boo Weekley.

Guest Greek Hab
My grand-dad...my non-Greek grand-dad , went to day 2 of the Masters this year. Said it was pretty nice. Followed Tiger around, yaada yaada yaada...golf...YAWN!!! Nothing against the sport, I have clubs myself, but how can you watch someone else play it for 4 hours without falling asleep? If I ever have golf on the TV, like summer time only, when it's not Summer Olympics, World Cup, Euro Cup, or even Baseball season...I'll only watch the putting, since that's the only part of the game that is worth a damn. Guest habs_fan1160
I like playing golf, however, watching it is a totally different story. I can't seem to sit through five minutes watching it.

Its a lot easier to watch it when there for two reasons. First, the tv coverage really cant show the contour of the greens, plus the tv doesnt get you clubhouse passes . Second, the masters has the best food. Sandwiches are $1.50, and beer is $2.00, its a small cup, but still.

Woods had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee for the second time in five years. He will be out at least four weeks while he recovers. Guest Greek Hab
You can get injured in golf? Well think about it. When you're swinging your club like the pros do...it's not just the arms doing all the work. You try to get your entire body into a system of motion. Your knees can really take a beating when you're trying to pivot your shot in the right direction. Same thing goes for you hips and spinal cord.
