Guest Me_Habs_Fan
I would put Grabs in cause he has good luck against Boston. I can't see him being pushed around that much. He's not weak, he's quite a tough player. He isn't to awful bad on face-offs. Better the Sergei & Higgs. He's a fast skating play-maker and can play good with Kovi & AK. Pleks centering Sergei and Higgins, might mean they'll score more and win some face-offs. Bergeron shouldn't play this year. I doubt they play him, cause it would be a major risk. Oh well, we'll see. Bergeron - Meet Bégin, Smokes, Kost, Komi, Marcov, Hammer !! Thomas is facing home crowd pressure. Get a couple quick ones Habs!

Guest concreteveins
But was that the problem last night "getting pushed around"? (stats had Habs out-hitting the Bruins), or was it getting getting out-skated, out-shot and out-chanced? (thank you, again, Carey Price). Stewie & O'B are great, I really like them, but they aren't going to bring too much additional speed, or (any?) additional finish. Switch them in sure; they'll give a fresh look, fresh legs, rest some others. An impact player would have been handy last night, not necessarily another player to impact the Bruins into the boards (when they could catch them). That would be (might be?) Grabs. My thoughts. I think they would give a lot of added speed and hits at the right time. The main reason is to give some of the older players some rest because I think the younger guys would be really hungry and give some intensity, some of which, in my opinion the Habs were lacking yesterday. Guest Onzeee
well the Bruins outplayed us for much of the night lastnight with the help of the refs i might add, you know they feel that they can beat us and their backs are against the wall. they will throw it all out there tonight, i wasnt really impressed with the way alot of our guys played lastnight when the going got tough with this back to back situation the team who gets the early lead will be in the drivers seat

Guest Onzeee
I think we will have to weather the storm in the first few minutes of tonights game - I think boston will come hard at us... but if we stay disciplined and keep out of the box and keep everything simple in the opening minutes, we will have the oppurtunity to crush the bruins tonight - if boston doesn't score in the early going after using up plenty of energy, then we should take this one... first 5-10 minutes of the first period will be very key for us IMO... the team who scores first will have the advantage especially with the back to back situation

Guest Onzeee
I agree 100% with rotating in fresher players but Grabs might get pushed around. Stewart and O'Bryne are really good choices because they hit hard. If I were making the lines tonight... A. Kostitsyn - Pleks - Kovy Higgins - S. Kostitsyn - Ryder Stewart - Begin - Kostopolous Latendresse - Lapierre - Dandenault Markov - Komisarek Hamrlik - Gorges Streit - O'Bryne Price Halak Spares: Grabovski, Smolinski, Bresbois, you want to take one of our best FO men out in Smolinski? Them getting 3 quality chances verses at least half a dozen for us in the first two periods with two of them converting should really brush any comments of sort away. And just because they got a lucky break in the middle of the third and then we gave them a 5 on 3 doesn't mean even then that they outplayed us. (It's not like we were pulling from behind a 0-2 deficit, they were) In fact they were lucky enough they had a chance to pull within a tie AND us getting two posts in the last minute of the game. So please... Boston is a washed up team and it would've been much more exciting watching us pound the Canes instead. Here's again to a blow out win! Guest habs_fan1160
The Habs definately seem to have the upper hand here. We've won 13 straight against the Bruins, plus they've NEVER in their franchise history have come back from a two game deficite. Not saying it could never happen, but history tells more than some think. If we can go up 3-0 today it'll be huge for the Habs and deflate the Bruins even more. With this being their first home game, I think they'll be pretty fired up for it. Also - We also have dominated the Bruins in the post season since way back in the day. Guest russianhabsfan
they were the hungrier team lastnight and you can twist and tie that anyway you want Well here's one way for example, a hungry yellow belt trying to take on a black belt. The yellow belt jumps and twists around maybe throws a couple of good attacks but in every round the black belt comes out with rare attacks to kock the chump down. You can take a hungrier Buick for a Ferarri for a similar example as well. Make your pick.
