what I said was the truth...it was unreal. I've never seen anything like it, even here in Hartford for our AHL team we have ushers in security at evry entry and exit point and every section. It was terrible. The word of the night was "fag" which they called every habs fan , even my friend was verbally attacked while at the urinal. There were fights all around us while exiting and the hab fans kept pushing towards the exits saying "keep moving. keep moving" like I said in a earlier post, the only safe one was my son who wore his Whaler jersey......if I ever go again it will be in the lower section. Never met fans like those, they were classless and I'm not talking a handful of bruin fans making the rest look bad...I'm talking the majority of Bruins fans were like this and took pleasure in it. I work with a guy who used to live in Boston and he said be glad they didn't throw batteries at you......visit Boston, I don't think so

In no way am I saying its right, but I think it makes the atmosphere better when theres big rivalry between the fans. We get bad rivalry between local football teams. My local city (Sheffield) has two football (soccer) teams which people say is one of the biggest and oldest rivalries in English football. Now the atmosphere at those games is so intense. They aren't hyped up or talked about a lot in the press beforehand but everyone knows about it.

I'm all for an intense rivalry by all means....I went to plenty of Whaler games here in Hartford with plenty of hab fans in attendance. That was fun, we could cheer for our teams and have a good time. That was not the case in Boston and it was never the case back with the whalers either. The bruins fans are a different breed. They don't attack the opposing team or its players they attack you verbally and your children, it doesn't matter. They were in the face of my nieces who went to the game also. They actually threaten to fight hab fans just because of the jersey, not because a hab fan may have insulted them or instigated something, all because of the jersey. They were selling " I hate Canadiens " t-shirts after the game .I can take the verbal abuse but I had one fan start poking me in the chest...where if we weren't pushed along I'm not sure what would have happened. The point is really the lack of security there , it was a very dangerous situation with no police in sight....it kind of gives the green light to all sorts of stupid behavior.

Saku and Bouillon and even Streit might come back I look for our best match of the series tomorow night.

For the team's sake, I hope Saku is back for the game. I can't overstate what I feel he brings to the team for every game. Mostly missed is his leadership, tenacity, experience, and brilliant play making skills. We desperately need him to fill the giant hole at center which has become all too obvious, where the various line combos have not worked well together to fill that void. My guess, is that Koivu's tenacity at getting to pucks and finding guys like Higgy, Sergie or whoever he plays with in scoring position with a clever set up is the missing piece to the team's perceived scoring depth. If Saku's back in for Saturday, and if he wants to win a Stanley Cup he will be, I believe he will have immediate impact in a winning cause for the Habs. The team somehow persisted in his absence for the past 3 weeks and are in position to win their 1st round series, but I think most folks realize how the team has struggled in his absence.

Streit and Bouillon are also very import pieces of the puzzle and must do everything humanly possible to be in the line up on Saturday.

On Saturday, I expect a much improved roster, an all-out effort by the Habs, and a big win. Price will want to prove his mettle after last night and will be exceptional as usual. With a complete team on the ice, I will predict the end of the scoring drought and the boys will light the lamp several times, at least once on the PP.

In nature, the bruin must return to it's cave (or gaahden) to die.

I just want o forget about last nights game. I'm still in shock. I think the Habs will show up and will play 60 minutes of hockey.

CBC is probably happy a Habs game for Saturday Night.

Go Habs Go !!!

What game? Did the Habs play last night? Weird ... must have blocked it out somehow ... surely there was no game Thursday ...

Is there actual evidence that Koivu/Streit/Boullion may be back for tomorrow?

i know koivu has been skating with the team and whatnot....and i would LOVE it if he was back...

in a sense, i wouldn't mind getting him in, gettin the win, and having him rest for 4 more days.

We need some heart on this team.

If Koivu cares about this team he'll be back tomorrow as well as Boullion and Streit.

price better bounce back....he sure scared me last night and i had all the confidence in the world in him!

I was hoping I WOULDN"T be watching a Canadiens match on Saturday. Where's the scoring touch gone? Man, I really hope the Habs can finish this series off in game six, get our Captain healthy and prepare for round two. GO HABS GO
Our 1st period was alright...we got a lot of chances, just grabbing the sticks a little too tight and we can't capitalize on those chances. I think that was our best period in a while....other than that....i haven't seen it...

It was Price's first regulation lost since 13 March. He is human and entitled to a loss. Habs take it in 6 games

I'm with this man.... what game is everyone talking about?

We're up 3-2 in the series with a chance to eliminate Boston on Saturday... I thought that's how its been all along :o

Hope the players don't think anything else, cause all its gonna take to win on Saturday is a solid 60 minutes of hockey...

Fair enough mate. There is no place for disrespect like that in the game especially in a sport which is advertised/branded as a safe place you can take your family to and all ages are welcomed (thats the situation here, not sure if it is as much with you but looking at crowds at the Bell Centre it does look like the case)

Sorry to go slightly off-topic,

GO HABS GO!!

We could remember all the previous meltdowns of recent seasons.....we could remember how terrible we played in games 2, 3, 4 and 5.....

OR.....

We could just start with a clean slate and play our game no matter what.

Obviously, except for reviewing the tape to correct the mistakes, putting a horrible performance or two....or three....or four....behind us is best right now. We're still the number one seed from the East....all we have to do is play like it.

We've been shaking our heads at all the inconsistency all season long, and even with all that, there was enough talent and enough leadership for us to finish first, with the #1 power play and most goals scored. Surely we can get back to our old form.....right?

But what I'd like to believe is this: You know how sports are so exciting and unpredictable....that's why we like to watch the games live....to witness the unfolding of thrilling and dramatic moments, with our favorite team hopefully coming out on the winning end. Well, maybe, just maybe, the stage is being set for yet another incredible Saku Koivu comeback right when we need it most. As long as he's been our Captain, I have held the belief that when (not if) he hoists Lord Stanley, not only all Montreal fans will cheer, but the entire hockey world will cheer with us, along with a large population of many other professional sports. Not many pro athletes can boast of the types of challenges he has risen above, so it will certainly be a great day for both sports and society in general when it happens. And this could be the season....right now!

So, I sure would like to see our beloved Captain return in fine form and lead his -- and our -- team forward past this first round challenge and on to much bigger and better things. It could all start with one win. One win we need now more than ever.

HURRY BACK SAKU!!!!

Here here, inspiring talk there mate. We should definately look ahead and not behind. Good example of this is the play of Breezer. I think he's been playing great so far in the PO's and I'm sure his veteran presence is priceless.
