JL,I know you are a huge fan of Carey's and think he is the greatest thing since sliced bread ,but why do you think I am so "far from the truth"concerning his cockiness?I don't buy this notion that he just doesn't get nervous under any circumstances.I feel that he could be even better if he actually feared losing.There is no way he should have the attitude that he is so good that they can't lose!That's the problem.He should be afraid to lose.If he is not ,then he should sit down and let someone else take over because we need a goaltender that is afraid to lose!!!!

Having said all that,I still can say that he has really impressed me since he has been handed the job .I was quite upset about it at first ,but he seems to have improved his style to include staying up longer to make saves and give himself a chance to make the second stop when needed.I do agree that he has enormous potential to become the next "great" one.But it is not yet written in stone IMO.I'll give you this though,earlier on I would have clamored to have him sit the next game after falling apart like he did in the last one,but now I feel confident that he will come up with a big performance in this game and carry them to victory.I think it's pretty safe to say that he is winning me over,wouldn't you think? :rolleyes:

You are mistaking confidence and trying to make plays with cockiness, that's why. He's as far as it gets from being cocky as his actions, his personality and his words are all showing that he's a very down to earth person. That's where you're dead wrong about Price. Now you may make up your own mind about him, but it's far from the truth.

The keys to the game for the Canadiens are:

  1. Take the body every chance we get, especially against Kessel and their banged-up players (Chara, Ward and Wideman);
  2. Find ways to make Thomas move from side to side as he's very awkward on his lateral movements;
  3. Go to the net, as rebounds are to Thomas what controversy is to Paris Hilton;
  4. Skate, involve our defensemen offensively and execute our transition offense, using our speed to cycle in their zone, forcing them to take penalties; and
  5. Get that PP going somehow!

From TSN SC update - Canadiens Captain Saku Koivu will be wearing bulletproof kevlar on his injured left foot to prevent any further injury.

I'll be blaintly honest, if we don't win this game, the series will be over and it will go to Boston. I'm not joking.. this series should have either been a sweep or done in 5. I'm not expecting the Habs to be amazing every game, but we completely outplayed Boston all season and managed to beat them every time.. now really isn't the time to start losing to them. I think depending what we see in the first period will determine the rest of the game.

GO HABS GO!

Surely Melanson ,Carbo,and company will have told Carey that he should perhaps abandon his cockiness and realize that even though they're only Bruins,you still don't hand them the puck and say "here try it again"!God, just when I was getting close to being able to watch him play without being worried that he was going to blow a few too many easy shots ,he comes up with e new way to rattle my nerves!Damn ,I wish he would quit his un warranted bravery act and concentrate on using his many skills to prevent those Teddy bears from feeling like they can score on him whenever they relly need to get back into the game!He is a very skilled young goaltender with a great potential for bigger and better things.Let's hope he develops a little fear of failure that translates into more success!

I met Carey, and his dad last year during the AHL playoffs in Winnipeg. The kid is not cocky, he's actuially more shy than anything. So unless you know these guys personnally keep your yip shut. Man the kids on here kill me.
