Guest kinot1
After reading about the thread in which we were asked who would you want to meet in the second round got me to thinking . If the top seeded teams got to pick who they would prefer to meet from the bottom teams (I hope you can follow me on this ) So, the top-seeded team could pick anyone from the other 7, the second seeded team could pick from the rest and so-on until everyone was matched-up. Sort of like Pitts tanking it to get Ott. In doing it this way, there is a bonus for finishing as high as possible. Ok,,,,,,whatch ya all think???? Good idea or bad one?? Could work......very interesting concept, but i bet we would have chosen boston and then we would choose philly....so it wouldn't matter... Guest Never213
Kinda puts alot of pressure on the GM (or whoever the decision is up to). There'd be alot of "I knew he should've picked X instead of Y". Plus it'd be a little awkward, since by chosing the team you'd be playing against would send a message of the type "you guys suck worse then everyone else". It's interesting, but if I were a GM I'd prefer not having to chose.
Guest vegasrick
No way.....too subjective. They should, however, give the top-seeded team the longer rest bonus, and schedule round two to begin a day later than the lower seed, instead of the other way around. Guest hatethoseleafs
I can see a lot of upsets with that format. Your in fact telling the team you choose that you beleive they are the easiest team to beat. Talk about motivation.
