Guest LarryRobinson
Hey, just thought I would let you guys know that on sportscenter this morning, Melrose picked the Flyers to win the series OH yeah....and GO HABS GO!!!! I see enough of his mullet to know that Melrose, like anyone else on ESPN is paid to pander to the American audience. God do I dislike Philly (the franchise), this team is so recently acquired that they dont have the "god I hate the flyers" attitude just yet, which is unfortunate because I kinda like some of their players, especially Smith. Either way, Im hoping for an embarrassment, expecting a hard fought game. GO HABS!!!!!!
Guest Bruin Fan 4
just for fun, I'm sending along my prediction for Game 1 Habs 2 Flyers 1 ... both teams will be nervous, both teams will make mistakes ... the fans will be awesome as per the norm ... GO HABS heckle me if you wish, I can't wait ...... tick tock .... 4.5 hours
Guest Bruin Fan 4
Refs tonight are Van Massenfrassennessen and Hassensfrnatzsen (not even going to bother with spelling here). Didn't they do Round 1 Game 1 for us? Hey Waiting for .... : I do believe the correct spelling of Hassensfrnatzsen is O'Hassensfrnatzsen ... I think he's Irish .... Go Habs
Guest habtalk
I think this series will be easier than Boston. All you have to do is shut down Briere. It should be a cinch for Carbo, Jarvis and Muller to come up with some scheme to check him into the ice. Biron is not that good, only a .908 save percentage. Get a lot of shots on him and you'll get your share of goals. I'm going to say Habs in the sweep. I don't see Philly winning a game. Remember '86. Game seven squeaker against Hartford and then smooth sailing the rest of the way. Game 7 vs Hartford 1986. What a game! Claude Lemieux scores the winner on Mike Liut in OT ... and then does a swan dive at center ice!
Guest sanman
Did it land exactly in the middle like vs boston? How many of the experts picked otherwise? Second Round Series McKenzie Dreger Maggie MTL vs PHI MTL PHI MTL we got the Monkey on our side!!! Only Dreger picked Philly.
Guest ryan.go.habs
Hockey weather has returned to Manitoba! After last week getting temperatures in the 20's we got dumped with 15 cm of snow today!

Defensive is slow. Kovalev said it best. We can't go out there to prove how tough we are, we have to show how fast we are. Speed will kill the Flyers. They will send in two forecheckers but don't play a trap style so we need 1-2 passes into their end and we should be fine. Our PP starts clicking and we win easily. If not at least 6 games. Remember we are not going to have that many fans in Philly like we did in Boston. GO HABS GO!! p.s. wondering if the Biron being a French Canadian won't get the BIIIIIRRRRON chants like Thomas did? Hope not.

Habs will pick their D apart; Flyers will not do the same to the Habs D. That is the most glaring difference between these two teams. Jason Smith is old, slow and has a hurtin' shoulder. Lapierre, Kosto and Begin will put him out of his misery. Smith can then watch all the Habs goals from the bench.

Guest concreteveins
If they play a physical style, like they did against the Bruins, I expect The Habs to kill them. I expect Komi to have a bad series because shifty forwards give him fits. Markov and Streit will have a great series. An offensive explosion. This game the Habs will win. Habs in six. Guest Greek Hab
I do think it was disgraceful to boo another Nations national AnthemAre these the lines I really wanted to see stewart against these brutes Yes I know, but the point is...when the Habs are on a high note...we don't get anyhing from Cherry, but as soon the Habs or our Fan base does something(bad or something)...OPINION MUST BE MADE!!! "O I tell ya, them Canadiens Fans...booing the anthem...I tell yea chata chata...they should be ashamed of themselves, Bobby Orr...chata chata..." Guaranteed. I think that would be his exact wording too . He will jump all over the rioting thing as well. Even though the vast majority would agree that the hooliganism is not good and those responsible are not fans and taking advantage of the crowds and rowdiness, Don Fairy will no doubt use this event as verbal ammo against the Habs, their fans, the City, Ruskies, French, etc.
