svetlana_mtl
had your pic taken with it? I have seen it twice in my life in real life and had my pic taken with it. One of them I put here in my profile as my display pic. The first time was in December 1993, I suppose they took the cup on tour to various places across canada for its centennial year it turned 100 years old. They brought it either to the Village Mall or the Avalon Mall (cant remember now which one) and I had my pic taken with it. I remember i wasnt feeling well that day i was sick so I didnt smile in the pic. I wore a Chicago Blackhawks shirt for the pic, a team that has won the cup a few times in its history. The second time I saw the cup I was at university in Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN) March 26, 2002 when they brought the cup there. That was a surprise, I didnt even know they were coming with the cup again. I was told by some of my friends it was there and I rushed to have a pic taken. I remembered to smile this time, lol. You can see this pic here in my profile page as my display pic. How many of you have had this pleasure of having seen the cup in real life and / or had your pic taken with it? Im curious to know. DVRichard
I've had my picture taken with The Cup twice. once at the Hockey Hall of Fame, the other time was at Q104, a Halifax radio station, a few years ago. I saw it last summer when Joe DiPenta of the Ducks, brought it home to Cole Harbour on his day with the Cup as all members of the of the winning team are able to do. There is now a beautiful display case honoring his accomplishment in Cole Harbour Place. Of course, his display case is directly across the hallway from Sidney Crosby's display case. DVRichard
Well I've just had my third opportunity to have my picture taken with 'Stanley'. My 12 year old son and I went to FANFEST, at the IIHF World Championships here in Halifax last weekend. The Cup was here in the Nova Scotia Sports Hall of Fame. I had my son get his picture taken alone with the Cup then the two of us together. What a great afternoon!

kx250
2 times I have seen and touched the Cup. The first I took a picture with my baby son. The second it was at the school I work at, I had to baby sit it until they could gather all the kids into the gym, there it was just me and the Cup in my office, the guy who gaurds the Cup went to the gym and I had the privilage of carrying it into the gym,but not before I used a pencil to stencil all the Cup wins by the Habs onto paper, all of 24 pieces of paper. Late-Apex
Hopefully I'll see it in beautiful Traverse City, MI where Dallas Drake lives with his family in the offseason. My best friends live there, so I plan do visit them when Dallas has the cup. The Wings also hold their September training camp in Traverse City.
