Thank You Habs

I'm in quite a bad mood right now, but it'll pass eventually and I'll realize just how many expectations we shattered:

  • 1st in the East (supposed to finish 13th/14th)
  • Best powerplay in NHL (supposed to have died with Souray gone)
  • Solid goaltending future (supposed to have massive controvesies all season)
Actually, now that I think about it, the 07-08 Canadiens remind me of the 06-07 Penguins: Lots of young talent, but lack of playoff experience hurts. Next season, our rookies will be better and more experienced, just like Pittsburgh's, and they're powerhouses in the postseason right now.

Now, let's try to sign a good UFA or two come July 1st, and show everyone next season what we're made of!

GO HABS GO!!!

When you walk through a storm

Hold your head up high

And don't be afraid of the dark

At the end of the storm

Is a golden sky

And the sweet silver song of a lark

Walk on through the wind

Walk on through the rain

Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown

Walk on, walk on

With hope in your heart

And you'll never walk alone

You'll never walk alone...

Thats the song Liverpool sings for their team. Let´s keep it that way.....

Good Job making this thread. Its been alot of years of losing and I understand why people are upset. Sucks we went out like that but we have a very promising team. I dont think many key players will be gone and I can see us picking up some good UFA in the off season OLE OLE OLE

Koivu! Koivu! Koivu!

Price! Price! Price!

Ko-va-lev!

This was needed; Koivu for his huge comeback and Price to boost his lost confidence and Kovalev was obvious. Definitely a fantastic season and like I said it has been a lot of fun with you lot. Now... it is time to retire everyone's favorite mascot; so for the last time for the 2007-2008 season I give you...

I am disapointed because this Flyers team is a team we could have swept (if not for Biron...and some posts going our way).

But I digress...

If I was told at the start of the year that Montreal would make the second round I'd have a hard time believing you, and if you told me they'd win the east, I would have slapped you for such lies. But here we are, a VERY young team that proved it can play with the big boys. Maybe one or two key moves away (big forward, western Canadian type and another large mobile top 3 defenceman) and this team will make noise next year!!!!

I agree. We need a big forward. If you could pick one who would it be?

Great season, ive seen the habs eliminated 3 times in in the second round in the 16 years ive watched the habs, but this is the first time that them losing was an upset, and that in a weird way is a good thing, because it means were improving and actually have something to look for to for next season. Carey Carey Carey!!!!!!!!!!!!
