leafs_rock_go_mccabe
Why would you think that Kristo is ready to play with NHL men. At best he might make the AHL this year. Let all slow down a little with the prospect. They need to evolve at the"right" speed and that means not rushing them. Have we not learned anything? You said it. Let's not rush Kristo into the NHL. The dude may be a speed demon, but I don't think he will be ready to play NHL hockey for another few years. At best he will be playing in the AHL next year. However, I assume that he will return to school in... ugh... Is it North Dakota?

So long as you return the player to the AHL before the player has to clear waivers, essentially not make the same mistake as our team did with Latendresse then why not take a chance on a talented and really fast player? I still believe that Patches will become a solid 2-way player in Montreal. At this moment it is far too quick to assume that Patches will never develop after getting several games in Montreal. The ability to send Patches to Hamilton for development means that we have not ruined Patches. I clearly remember being impressed a lot with Kristo at the world juniors. Looked like the complete package. Really good at both ends of the ice.
dfrancis
I am assuming that Subban will be one of our 3 best defencemen this coming season. Yeah, but Subban also had a year in the AHL. Subban is definitely 100% ready for the NHL now, I'm not sure about Kristo. (Not saying he is or isn't, I'm simply saying I don't know)

S-Bah
Having watched his play in the Juniors I'd say he's ready to make the move to the AHL, the talent that we have now it may be wise to leave him in college.

js2
Will he even be at training camp this September? How does that work with players in the American system? I don't even think he's allowed to fully partake in the Habs training camp since he's in university.

DA_Champion
He had an extremely successful season of NCAA last year, 36 points in 41 games. As a comparison, Pacioretty had 39 points in 37 games, but that was in a different conference so I don't know how it compares. I expect him to sign a pro contract next suimmer and to join Hamilton for 1 or 2 years after that.
Matariel
I like this guy alot, reminds me of Ales Hemsky. Granted the points total do not match, but he's creative, quick-footed and seems to have a lovely puck-control, let alone a quick release. I've been reading up some 'scouting' and prospects reports on him and they don't seem to give him much importance. Seeing some of his videos and his WJC performances, I really don't understand why he isn't rated higher on those reports. Time will tell, looking forward to seeing him with the Bulldogs soon
ChitownHabby
Haven't heard much about him at camp, is he even there? He's listed as our best prospect behind Subban and Eller on hockey prospects, is he really only a year or so away? http://www.hockeysfuture.com/prospects/danny_kristo

leafs_rock_go_mccabe
Still in college I believe so he can't come to camp I think I believe you are right. Hopefully he makes the decision to sign his first pro contract next summer and we can see what he brings to the table in September 2011. I seem to remember him being an integral part of the U.S.A.'s world junior team this past year.

Bastian_mtl
Still in college I believe so he can't come to camp I think So is Joe Stejskal (Dartmouth)...he was in camp, though just returned. So was Dustin Walsh (Dartmouth), who was cut a couple days ago I believe. I was wondering about the absence of Kristo as well, huh....next year. Normally the guys in the NCAA don't come to camp as they are with their college team, I assume Dartmouth started later and Stejskal and Walsh were both invited but Walsh left after thew rookie camp. 74Kos-yn-31Price
"Men’s hockey Kristo benched for exhibition UND sophomore forward Danny Kristo will be benched for Sunday’s exhibition against the University of Manitoba after being cited for underage drinking. The school announced the one-game suspension for the 20-year-old Kristo on Friday, saying he violated team rules. Kristo is the second-leading returning scorer for the Sioux. He will be eligible to play for the regular-season opener against Alaska-Anchorage next weekend. UND is allowed to dress extra players for the exhibition and is still expected to do so." Ok habs fans... time to jump all over this kid and question is work ethic and lifestyle... Come on now... treat everyone the same... Im pretty sure this guy is at fault for Halak being traded too, afterall hes Gainey's best buddy... On a serious note, I don't care that Kristo had a drink... Whatever, hes still a good player and will now learn how not to get caught next time... Valuable lesson before he gets into the Habsmedia spotlight
