romy22
NOw go find out about 10 and 20 goal scorers too!!!! you'll REALLY see our depth on offense. I'd much rahter have 4-5 guys with 20+ and 3-4 more with 15 than 1 guy with 40-50 and no one else even close. Look at Atlanta, Kovulchuk scored 40, 45, 50 (whatever) and they still don't make the playoffs...if they do, they are out in the 1st Round. The Montreal "system" of scoring by committee is much better, IMO.

I think some Habs teams came close or equaled this in the late 90s. We were pretty bad not too long ago.

twist-and-shout
Not that much of an surprising fact; Montreal led the League in goals last year. This fact thread just got double in the whacky factyness department! Bonus Fact!!! The Montreal Canadiens are based in Montreal, Quebec! I think some Habs teams came close or equaled this in the late 90s. We were pretty bad not too long ago. In 2001, Oleg Petrov and Saku Koivu tied for the team lead in points with 47 points each. Kovie only player 53 games or something though. Still, that was the worst Canadiens season in my history of being a fan. I can say with conviction that it was the worst Habs team I've ever heard of.
