darren19
Since we all have a pretty good idea how the lineup is gone look like in October, I thought we could start discussing the lines. Discuss.

GoHabsGoQC
He meant Guillaume. Lats... I saw Laps lol. It's the same thing for him anyway. He won't go in Hamilton. He could score 20 goals next season he can be in the NHL, he will be in the NHL.
TORHABSFAN
I am sure there are a millionm line cumbos that could work the only lines I defitley don't like is any line with Tanguay and Sergi on the same line.. both guys can be great set up men and I think its a waste putting them on the same line. Krusher55
I'm sure it could work but if not I'd interchange Higgins and Sergei i would think that putting Andrei K with tanguay would work miracles, but i don't think the team wants to break up last years #1 line.. darren19
I would hate to break up the Kovalev line but we have too many left wingers. Andrei K. would be the best suited to go the right as he's a natural right winger. Tanguay - Plekanec - Kovalev <---------------- They can all make plays and they can all score Latendresse - Koivu - A. Kostitsyn <------------ Two natural goal scorers with the best playmaker Higgins - Chipchura - S. Kostitsyn <------------- Checking line with great offensive upside Begin - Lapierre - Laraque <--------------------- Booooooooooooom! *Stewart, *Kostopoulos Markov - Komisarek <--------------------------- Same old, same old for the entire defensive squad Hamrlik - O'Byrne Bouillon - Gorges Price Halak
Xbnbbvghn
Mine would be Tanguay - Koivu - Kovalev Kosty - Pleks - Kosty Higgins - Chippy - Lattendresse Laraque - Lappy - Kosto Komi - Markov Hammer - O'Byrne Georges - Bouillion Price Halak
SteenIsThaFuture
The thing is without another top forward we would have 7 top 6 forwards. Andrei, Sergei, Pleks, Koivu, Kovalev, Higgins, Tanguay 1 of them gets screwed by getting put on a checking line most likely either Sergei or Higgins. Carbo does spread ice time around equally, but someones production will dip drastically this year unless we get another good forward.
Innis_Mor
Tanguay - Sundin * - Kovalev AKosty - Koivu - SKosty Higgins - Pleks - Latendresse (was Grabs ) Laraque/Begin - Lapierre - Kosto Komi - Markov Hammer - O'Byrne Gorges - Bouillion Price Halak * I'm thinking more like than not, Sundin will sign, with the Habs. concreteveins
Since Koivu and Kovalev had some really nice chemistry in the playoffs last year and with the addition of Tanguay, there can be three scoring lines (of course some lines will not put up as much as others) and one hitting line. As I once heard: "the best defense is a good offense". Let's face it, the Habs got a ton of offense so I believe that there is no need for a bonified "shut down" line. Besides, you know Carbo likes to roll his lines. EVEN STRENGTH FORWARD LINES Tanguay - Koivu - Kovalev. This is a pure offensive line. You have a speedster in Tanguay, a playmaker in Koivu, and a sniper in Kovalev. How ridiculous would this be to see on the opening night at the Bell Centre? How many other teams in the East could sport this tandum? A. Kostisyn - Plekanec - S. Kostitsyn. I will go out on a limb and state that this is the best secondary scoring line in the Eastern Confrence. The brothers have great chemistry and Plekanec is coming into his own. They can open up space for each other and would deliver hockey entertainment at its best. Higgins - Lapierre - Latendresse. This line is a simple offensive line. Higgins and Lapierre can rush the corners and Latendresse can use that big, young body of his to screen and crash the net. The bottom line for this line is that Higgy, Laps, and Lats all have a knack for finding pucks around the net and can bang in dirty goals. This line would be really good at creating scrambles and could quite possible bury more than half of the loose pucks they find. Laraque - Begin - Kostoplous . This line would hit and fight pure and simple. Begin and Kostoplous had some chemistry last year. Laraque fills out this line incredibly with his size and toughness. This line would be that gritty, banger line that every team hates to face. Extra's: Chipchura, Dandenault EVEN STRENGTH DEFENSE LINES Markov - Komisarek. That's a given. Hamrlik - Boullion. That's my opinion. Gorges - O'Bryne. They are good 5th and 6th defenseman. Extra's: Valentenko, Carle/Alex Henry/Dandenault
ExPat-In-Ypsi
I noticed that alot of people have Laraque on the LW when he plays on the RW. Atlest that is what Tsn told me.
teststory
Tanguay - Koivu - Kovalev The free agent line and the Sergei K - Pleks - Andrei future line I think the Habs better save the rest of the cap space to sign their top three players. If all the Habs have to rely on for offense is Serge - K, Pleks, Andrei, and Higgens I think there could be a problem after this season. I think they are all good players, but they are still very young and when Kovalev and Koivu leave from free agency or retierment they will need a second line to back them up.
