Charon1
Hmm... Well, I doubt that any of the college players will make the jump this year. So scratch Patches, McDonagh, Fischer et al. But my guess is that Maxwell, White and Weber have the best chances... maybe i'm missing somebody.

Michael19Cammalleri67
I wonder if Mcdonagh is ready to be 4,5,6 defencmen or not even close.
leafs_rock_go_mccabe
I wonder if Mcdonagh is ready to be 4,5,6 defencmen or not even close. I think he has at least one more year of college to go before being AHL ready. I give him 2 - 3 years before being ready for the NHL.

Charon1
I heard that Torp was the #1 ranked European defenceman in last year's draft. But he was injured last season and didn't play at all. That can't be good for the deveopment of a young player. I wonder if he'll impress this year at this development camp.
utreder
staying in Juniors or moving to hamilton: Mcdonaugh Fischer Weber Subban Pacioretty No NHL potential but AHL possibility: Kishel Paquet Torp BEAUREGARD What's that based on? Torp was rated amongst the top 7 Europeans in his draft year, his stock has only fallen because he was injured all last season. Beauregard went from scoring 71 goals in junior to being the second highest scorer on his ECHL team. He looked good in TC last year.

He has to put on muscle, a lot of it. Don Lever mentioned in the newspaper near the end of last season that he had no strength at all.

Don Lever mentioned in the newspaper near the end of last season that he had no strength at all. wow cool thanks! i didn't know anything about this guy other than that we signed him midway through the season b/c of some personal issues with the school he was playing with. I think at the time it seemed like MR timmins was saying great things about him. Also, I don't have TV but I do catch all the habs game on the net through RDS for 2.99/game..so i haven't heard of much other than what was said on the website and stuff. SteenIsThaFuture
I wonder if Mcdonagh is ready to be 4,5,6 defencmen or not even close. Not even close, he was the #4 defenseman behidn 3 seniors in his freshman year, but now they all graduated and hes the #1 guy, so it will be good fir his development. Then he will have to go for seasoning in the AHL. However, one interesting note is maybe, just maybe Pacioretty is ready to make the jump according to reports out of devlopment camp. Based on the orignal post in this thread I also thought this thread meant from the juniors (AHL) to The NHL. It references Latendresse and Kostitsyn who made the jump from the Bulldogs. ---I get it...based on age...my bad.

I don't believe Guillaume ever played with Hamilton, but Sergei definitely did for 1/2 of a year. Either way, I don't think anyone will be making the jump from that age group this year. Chipchura will come on board as our 4th center, and Valentenko may see some action on a callup basis, but that's it.
Stajan1
age wise: nobody is that good this season. bulldog wise: its chipchura's time to shine!
